I like to try out a lot of notebooks/journals. I've used these hardback pocket moleskines off and on for years. The size and form factor make it so easy to carry it everywhere. I'm not precious with these things. Yeah, the paper is terrible for fountain pens, but then I'm not throwing fountain pens into the bottom of my bag or shoving them into my pockets when I walk out the door. I leave the fountain pen at home with my heavier journal used for journalling and drafting fiction. This moleskine (and my trusty jotter) is a great catchall for everything else - quick notes, ideas on the fly, dreams I need to hold onto, names and addresses, short end of day reviews, etc.

Was worried as a few people have said about the quality control sticker, I'm so relieved I got the blue - best quality.. And no complaints on my first moleskine..

While still waiting for a perfect pc notebook to arrive (it should be light like netbooks, even lighter, yet be fast and fully functional, at least for basic office-on-the-go tasks and video - hope that my wait will be over soon) I still prefer to use an old-fashioned way to make notes, i.e. with pen and paper.I have found my perfect pen long ago (Uni-Ball Micro Deluxe UB155 Rollerball (Blue, Pack of 5 Pens)) but notbooks I used before ( Pukka A4 Jotta Metallic Squared ) were OK, but nothing more.When I needed a new one, I decided to make some research, so I found Molskine.WOW.No, seriously.If you appreciate the joy of hand-writing you'll immediately understand what I mean. The quality of the paper, cover, bondings, everything, is impeccable. There is a nice bit of history attached to it as well, although it is not the same company that made the original Moleskines used by Hemingway and others, I am happy that someone did a great job is recreating such beautiful products.I have bought 2, A4 and pocket size variants, both a perfect, each for it's own purpose.You will not be disappointed to get one.

Moleskine- the book of artists, philosophers and writers. Small and practical, with enough space for your wildest thoughts. Poetry aside, here's my review. I do like the size of the book, it's small enough to slip in my bag, and the elastic loop keeps the pages of the book together in the ebb and flow of detritus that is my bag. The book marker is practical, because I can mark pages wherever I need to. I bought the quadrilled version (the grid like squares on the pages) because I find that they force me to write more legibly. I dig it. There's a small paper pouch to the back where you can put things like receipts or little keepsakes that you tend to gather to you on holiday.My only drawback is that I wish the paper was a bit thicker. I do like to write with fountain pens, but the paper is just thick enough for the ink not to bleed through. Juuuuust about. In addition, I think the binding is starting to shift (ach, when stuff is made in China, I guess). That being said, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Keep it in my pocket every day and find it very handy to have around. I chose the squared book over the plain one because I sometimes do technical drawings and I like to make a lot of tables/graphs. The squares aren't too prominent but still bold enough to be useful, there is a little pocket at the back to store any notes from other books / any pages you rip out!The quality of the pages is really nice and definitely a higher end product.all in all a worth while purchase!

I love Amazon, not least because they sell Moleskines at proper prices. The price in the High Street makes me cough a bit. What better way to top up your order to get it above the £15 for free postage than buy a Moleskine. The problem is that once that you discover the quality of the notepads the more you will end up submitting orders just for Moleskines!The good thing about the squared Moleskine is that it is a lined Molskine whether it is turned horizontally or vertically. Give them a try, and look at all of the other types of Moleskines that you can buy. Just don't get addicted!!

The photo on the listing makes it look at lot bigger than it actually is. It's actually 9cm by 14cm. Its actually too small to use for the purpose I bought it for. Good quality notebook though other than that, however it will probably remind forever unused as it is too small to comfortably write in

My husband likes these books for keeping all of his professional notes. The book looks professional, is well constructed and meets his needs.

I love Moleskine notebooks because they are sturdy and stylish. I have tried cheaper alternatives that look similar but they always seem to fall apart after use. Save yourself the time and money and by skipping the cheaper alternatives and just get a Moleskine.
