Microsoft Flight Simulator X Standard (PC)

I have just baught the game off amazon and would like to help the future buyers know what they are getting. you may have viewed the video (on this page of flight simulator x) and be amazed by the quality of the sim. dont be fooled by other peoples reviews on here saying "we dont all have a super computer like bill gates" and letting you down thinking you cant run it. i have installed it on both of my pc's. 1st pc has 2.8ghz intel duel core, 1gb ram, 300gb hdd, and a 512mb graphics card. i can run the game on ultra high settings with no glitches or pauses working with no problems this is full on graphics, detail, scenery, weather etc. my other pc is intel 2.6ghz, 1gb ram, 256mb graphics card and 2x80gb hdd. on the 2nd pc i can run the sim on medium high settings (which is about 3/4's of the full settings on graphics, detail, scenery, weather etc) and runs with no glitches or pauses... i cant say i have tryed the settings higher yet but it may handel a little more. the system spec's on the game case say; at least windows xp or vista, 1ghz or higher, 15gb hdd, 32mb graphics card... i am sure with the lowest spec's even with lowest graphic settings the game will pause and have glitches... very demanding on graphics, BUT if you have any pc with (in my mind) atleast 1.8ghz, windows xp, 256/512mb ram, 64/128mb graphics card you will see a good view from the game. if you have the spec or higher than my 1st pc then definatly buy this... you wont be dissapointed. i hope i have helped people with any questions about this, and be warned... you WILL NEED A DVD ROM!!! wont work with a normal cd-rom. have fun. edd

Had to telephone Microsoft for another key when I got this little baby because of an Invalid product code ... No it wasn't a fake but it is a glitch and the number you have to give them is very hard to read number on the disc. Furthermore it can be a nightmare if you need to reinstall. Is it worth it for the better graphics? Marginally and I mean marginally and there is a distinct lack of traffic. If you have FS2004 then stick to it

This, although second hand, arrived in excellent condition. I loaded it into Windows 10 and throughout the install there was little indication that it was loading - infact, at the end windows went into being reconfigured and closed down. I was worried but the install had completed without me knowing, it was all there in programs. I then simply ran it from programs and it went to key validation. The official specs for this have always been short of what's needed, but I run it fine with on CPU 1.5 with a 4GB graphics card. I use a gaming laptop linked to a hd monitor. I can max the sliders but get the best out of it when knocking water details, cars and boats down by half on the sliders and putting autogen density at just "dense" it makes a difference. Great product.

I'm using windows 11 on my desktop, but Internet research suggested this would work, although designed for earlier operating systems. It took some time to get it working properly but eventually did so with the help of trouble shooter. For the money it provides a good introduction to realistic flight sims. Gentle manipulation of the controller is required and I think it's easier to fly a cessna in reality than on SIM! Nevertheless there a plenty of challenges to get through and a good selection of airfields and landing trips. The scenery and landscapes are rather basic.

have been looking for a good flight sim game for some time saw this one read a few reviews & decided this was the one for me. in the game there are so many levels to choose from which makes it more challingeing & you do really think you`re flying theese craft. i`m running the game on a dell inspiron 530s dektop with a nvidia gt 520 g card everything works fine the only problem i`ve found is when flying the helicoptor if you pull back on the stick too hard it goes into a spin which is uncontrolable & i had to close the program & refly that level apart from that the game is brilliant & such a good price

On instaling it was o/k, but on trying to start simulator it would not run as my video card would not suuport it, I have had no trouble with previous editions of Microsoft sims, Very dissapointed Will be passing it on.

This is a great game and seems so realistic at times. The tutorials will get you on track and then you can try your hand at more sophisticated levels. There is only one negative issue and that concerns the color display which flicks on to a different setting when you turn on the program. It is only a minor issue and readjusts itself when you turn off, but I am surprised this hasn't been addressed. Other than that, good value and hours of fun.
