Five Stars
I have been using these books for years and have helped myself, family, friends, strangers and even given away as gifts. This is a great first point of reference book. You can find most illnesses and conditions. There is usually a brief introductions with useful categorization of Very Important, Important, Good etc. and a list of potential vitamin/mineral deficiencies to supplement - as well as what herbs maybe useful - followed by anything else that could be useful, like dietary exclusions/inclusions and other external things that might also be beneficial. This has acted as a first point of call and then I look into things further through the internet, further books/journals for reading and understanding.

good
This is a little old, but the info is still relevant and it is still useful for reference whilst studying. It help give a good picture of basic prescription medicine, supplements, diet, herbs and alternative methods together.

Amazing book
I would reccommend this to everyone it has changed my life and health.2 things to note it does not cover how birth control or prescription drugs lower certain vitamins in the body and neither does it cover very basic herbs such as mint etc. However the book is huge, the largest book i own! It really helps you to find what your defficent in, it also covers really simple sicknesses such as leg cramps or heartburn etc.

Useful book if you don't like doctors!
Bought for my son, who likes to mend himself wherever possible. All herbal or food based remedies, much of it like granny used to say, so pretty good.

Fantastic
I fully recommend this book if your looking into natural treatments. It as a write up on most conditions and which herb or vitamin will help you. Its quite a big book with around 828 pages but it is very good value for money, would not be without it.

Very extensive knowledge base of healing
I bought this book after I saw one that was given to a friend for her birthday. However, Amazon were not selling at such a competitive price and I ordered from a Supplier in Canada with a little anxiety. I needn't have worried the book was with me within a week. I think Amazon is now selling direct so even better if you want quicker. Lots of tips on the types of herbs and things that you should use for natural healing.

Good educational read
**"Nutritional Healing" by Phyllis A. Balch** is a comprehensive guide to using nutrition and dietary supplements for improving health and combating illness. The book is well-organized, covering a wide range of conditions and the nutrients that can help address them. It's a valuable resource for anyone interested in the therapeutic power of food and supplements, offering practical advice and extensive references. While it can be dense, its thorough approach makes it an essential reference for both beginners and seasoned health enthusiasts.

6th edition does more harm than good
The 2010 5th edition is excellent with pretty complete coverage of diseases/symptoms. The 2016 Prescription for Natural Cures is also excellent and more up-to-date, though a little lower quality info and a less comprehensive list of diseases.Stacey Bell has sold out to the harmaceutical industry in the 2023 6th edition. I looked at coverage of covid in the reference copy at Natural Grocers and low vitamin D and covid bad outcomes is only barely mentioned and there is no mention of zinc, which is as basic as it gets. It is neutral at best on benefit/risk of covid vaccination. My local Natural Grocers has a copy of the previous 5th edition nearby for anyone who no longer trusts the new version. The publishing/paper quality drop in the new edition is important, but the quality of the information is far more important. Needless to say, I didn't buy the new edition. Stick with the 5th edition.

Excelente libro

Captured by big Pharma
This version boasts that it is “totally revised and updated” and they’re not kidding. It is no longer a natural book, but full of pharmaceuticals advice. Do not buy!
