Impressive level of quality and ingenuity.
I had spent several years thinking about buying a RovyVon flashlight—no joke. Part of it was trying to actually build the finances for the flashlight, but that's more of a personal problem than anything. All I knew is that I wanted one and for the LONGEST TIME—however, I was focused on buying one of the smaller models. Then I randomly discovered the A28 Gen 2, did my research, compared the measured dimensions and decided this model is the superior in all senses: Bigger battery, brighter light, two buttons, more light options and shortcuts. Now that I've possessed this A28 Gen 2 (high output) for some time, I feel comfortable enough to say that it's earned a permanent place in my EDC kit, specifically on my keychain. The main light—itself—is awesome and gets so bright that you literally won't use the brightest light as often as you'd think; unless you're always outdoors. I invite anyone curious to read the user manual to this thing because it is packed with so many features to appeal to virtually any scenario. This includes a very fast strobe feature using it's max 1000lm brightness, which I believe can be used as (and not suggested by RovyVon) a type of self defense mechanism. But if you're looking for self defense, please don't exclude yourself to only photons! There's even an SOS strobe feature which flashes "SOS" in morse code! Who thinks of this stuff? The White LED sidelight is a great general micro-floodlight with two levels of brightness: 2lm and 60lm. You would think that it will turn the entire flashlight into a tiny lantern but keep in mind that all sidelights are pointed at a transparent non-frosted part of the chassis, so most of that light is directed outwardly instead of shining in itself. The main ray of light spans about a 90 degree angle, with VERY faint light coming from the frosted sides of the chassis collectively spanning 270 degrees. I wouldn't rely on the faint light for anything you want to look at directly. This is a warm/yellowish LED.The Red LED sidelight has a ton of features pack into itself, such as a strobe and beacon style of flashing. My favorite is that it has two fixed brightness levels: 3lm and 35lm. With a Red LED wavelength at 625nm, this technically qualifies as a darkroom red light. This is ideal when you need to see in the dark but do not want to lose how adjusted your eyes are to the dark. I do not suggest to stare directly at the red light as I've done this by mistake and gave myself a small headache. The UV LED sidelight is the only non-adjustable light, meaning it will always shine at a fixed brightness level, no additional special features. It does it's job on bank notes and other florescent/UV-able things. Turning it on will activate the glow-in-the-dark circuit board, which is the only part that "glows" on this product. The glow is good enough to tell you where the flashlight is located in the dark, I don't think the glow from the circuit board is strong enough to serve another functional purpose.Adding on about the UV LED sidelight, I have not run any tests on any potential disinfecting capabilities of the UV LED, however the manual states the UV wavelength is 365nm, which qualifies to have disinfecting properties. The manual reads that you should get 106 hours of UV runtime on a single charge, so I'm pretty sure that you can use the UV LED for an EXTREMELY LIMITED small scope disinfectant. The magnetic belt hook has a long tiny strong magnet that seems possible to extract, however it is impossible to extract without damaging the hook or the magnet. I'm happy to know it's not a cheap-o magnet, it will lock the flashlight on magnetic surfaces and bears the strength to allow the flashlight to be angled and it won't droop or sag. Top quality stuff. While I don't share this same opinion, I feel like the only complaint that you hear from others about this flashlight is that it is bigger than another set of models produced by the same manufacturer. Some people find this uncomfortable, and to a point: irredeemable. I suggest to check out the dimensions to be clear on what you're investing in.I use this A28 Gen 2 frequently yet never used it for such long periods that I've ran out of battery on a single use. In fact, I've had this product since March 2023 (it's August 2023 now) and I've only needed to recharge it twice. My final thoughts: This product rocks. If you're able to sacrifice the small space that this item will consume, I see no reason why you shouldn't keep this in your EDC.

Great little light
This thing is great. The operation is a little hard to use because it's unconventional to turn on. In other words, if you hand this to a stranger, they won't really be able to use it effectively. But once you know how to use it, it's fantastic. I'm not even gonna dock a star for that because it's really just great. Very pocketable, recharging via usb-c, battery lasts forever, I've had it for a long time and haven't even had to charge it yet. I use it every day when I let my dog in the yard at night. The UV feature is super cool and great for freaking people out about how unclean their house is. The red light is great for maintaining night vision, and the main beam is just truly amazing. I was out hunting with it on me having forgotten my main light and this thing throws a beam extremely far. Furthermore, it seems to be indestructible, it has been through my washer/dryer with no issues whatsoever (don't recommend though). The magnetic clip is great.Overall I'm very glad I purchased it and I would buy it again and in fact I might do that just to have one in my truck.

Best flashlight with a lot of neat functions
It’s easy to use, the functions aren’t that hard to remember and they become second nature if you use it enough. It shines ridiculously far, I can see everything I need to at night when walking my dog or just when I have to use it (I usually use it to check fluid levels on my vehicle). The magnetic clip is ridiculously strong, you can pretty much stick it anywhere there’s metal and pop on the warm white side light and it’ll light up a good area, maybe about 5-6 ft around yourself. The UV light isn’t the strongest but it definitely gets the job done. You can actually use it to identify counterfeit dollars, off topic, but I used it to look around my dark kitchen and well… you’d be surprised of the amount of cooking stains I found. It also helps finding my dogs lost tennis balls or identify if he’s peed anywhere he shouldn’t.Personally I have it attached to my keys, but it does get a little cumbersome at times. Otherwise I don’t really notice it. Part of the reason I bought it was for self defense by shining the bright ass light at someone and high tailing it! It’s good for temporarily blinding animals that you don’t want near you either, there are A LOT of skunks and coyotes where I’m at and unfortunately I accidentally blinded a poor skunk coming out of some brush one night when I was walking.Anyway, it’s quick to charge and it stays charged for a few weeks! I think the only con really is not being able to know what the battery level is, otherwise it’s a solid flashlight with a lot of functions and fairly priced in my opinion.I highly recommend this little light!

Exceptional EDC Keychain Light
If you’re considering the RovyVon Aurora A28, chances are you’ve already done your research. The odds of stumbling across one of the best EDC keychain lights by accident are pretty slim. This light is exceptionally bright and has exceeded all of my expectations. Once I took the time to learn how to navigate its features, every time I use it, it never lets me down.As an EDC and flashlight enthusiast, I can confidently say this light is exactly what I hoped it would be. If you’re on the fence, I’d recommend going for it—you won’t regret the purchase.

Likely the best edc flashlight. Very versatile with great user interface
Absolutely amazing flashlight. Best all around edc flashlight in my opinion close with the fenix e18r v2 but you get the added benefit of side uv light, white light and my favorite the red light on this is so useful for using at night around the house. Also the user interface is a lot better. Insane value in such a compact flashlight.
