Fantastic product
Use this with a Rode NTG3 and a Rode carbon fibre boom pole, single shooting with the boom attached to a Boom Buddy. Indoors I dispense with the blimp and just use the pistol grip with a foam cover to get the weight down a bit. Outdoors this really does come into it's own, with perfect wind reduction using the supplied dead wombat. An adjustment tool is included along with a folding brush to touch the dead wombat up a bit - you need it to have the hairs standing up, which is a bit counter intuitive to brushing your hair. Well, for me at least :)

Does what it is suppose to do but not a mirical cure.
Not sure what people expect but for outside in light breeze situations it works fine. Fits well on the older Rode Video Pro mic. I can hear me breathing behind the mic when in use but didn't get any rumble noise from a constant 7 to 10 mph wind without using the high pass filter in a wide open space. If you need more wind protection then you should consider a proper gun mic with caged wind shield and isolation. It does fit well but make sure the dead cat goes under the mic as far as you can pull it along the isolation mount. It is tough to do and needs adjusting around the foam for a good fit. I can also get to the on off switch and gain switches without undoing the Velcro. Fiddly but do-able.

Helps with wind. Pun intended.
This is a really good deadcat and fits perfectly (when it's on) on the Røde Go microphone. Ive used this a few times now and in windy conditions and while it helps a great deal, dont expect it to remove all wind sound in high winds. That being said, so far the wind noise in video has not been bad enough to ruin the shots. Only criticism is the foam layer inside bunches up if you put it straight onto Mic so have to stretch it out a bit first.

Massive help - makes editing out b/g noise a LOT easier
This helps an absolute ton in reducing background noise on the GO mic. Whereas before I would have to spend a fair bit of time in Adobe Audition editing out that annoying and very noticeable hiss which comes through on a DSLR and GO combination - often resulting in reduced quality audio - with the deadcat on the hiss is almost impossible to hear (especially if you put music in your video) and disappears completely with some simple noise reduction in Audition. I could probably tweak my settings to pretty much get rid of any hiss, but for an easy and simple way to reduce noise, this deadcat is absolutely essential.

The Røde go mic is very great for indoor use
The Røde go mic is very great for indoor use, however, the Røde mic is very unsuited for recording outside due to the slighest bit of wind. But the Røde Go Deadcat wind muff fixes this issue greatly. The item is of high quality and build and basically says what it does on the box. My only niggle is I think this muff should be able to be bought in a bundle with the mic itself, but this is not really a problem. If the price may put you off, the product is defiantly worth the money as you are limiting the capabilitys of your mic without it.

As expected.
Not much to say, fits well but I wouldn't necessarily recommend removing it every time you shoot indoors, just leave it on or you'll potentially cause wear to the microphone's foam as it's a fairly tight fit. In addition to wanting a deadcat for outdoor work I partly bought this as it gives a professional look to my camera setup and means I can throw the microphone into my bag without worrying about things crushing or damaging the foam which can happen if stored improperly for prolonged periods. It also gives piece of mind that you won't get any wind noise if you move the microphone quickly or people move around the microphone suddenly which could cause some noise. Definitely recommend you buy one of these when you buy your video mic pro.

does the job
i have been using for few years now, and i m very happy with my purchase, it works perfectly with the rode mic, sound quality is great when weather is not good, by not good i mean usual light windy days when usually the camera mic will pick up some hissing and wind noises, didn't really try it in challenging weather situations.

I wanted to record on the beach and on some rocky cliffs on the coastline of Oahu but the wind was too loud in the recordings. These cut the wind down so much that the audio on my recordings are now very clear. It didn’t cut the wind to the point that you lose that magic of capturing the scene which is perfect. Audio is very clear because these cut the craziness out. They attach very well to the rode wireless setup I use. I even found a way to use it on my lapel mic although not exactly what these are designed to do. Great and useful product.

Price is too high but it does work very well. It strongly protects wind noise . Very sturdy fur. If you have budget then go for it for Excellent performance .

The deadcat fits perfectly onto my rhode pro microphone. Also very easy to install, the only thing I do not like about it, is that it seems to muffle a bit of the sound with the extra covering. Other than that, it works great very affective in reducing the wind noise. We use it for car videos, to be able to record vehicles moving and get the noise of the engine without having to hear the wind in the background.

You're only reading this because you desperately want an honest review to see if this RODE Blimp can handle wind exceptionally well. WELL, let me tell you that it is beyond my expectation. The other day I was shooting a video after a storm had passed and the winds were still hovering around 20mph. Once I put on the 'Dead Wombat' the wind noise was literally cut down to nothing. At first I thought it wasn't working because shotgun mic (NTG2) was picking up the leaves falling and I thought it was wind....it was just that clear! The most important factor of this package is the DEAD WOMBAT (which is included and thank you RODE for doing that). This is and will be the only thing you have to stop the wind and it works flawlessly. You will need this in any high wind situation. All in all, if you're looking for a wind muff, a high quality shotgun mic holder or just a better (or the best) way to cut out the wind from your production, I cannot emphasize this next statement enough....BUY THIS.

I bought the dead cat for my Rode DDCGO DeadCat Go and it fitted all snuggly. It helps with the wind for sure, not sure about those 100mph + gusts of wind though so, if anyone got into that kind of environment, please let me know what was your experience. I use this mostly indoors next to my window on my workstation for vlogs. I also did used this on parties with loud DJ's the mic alone does a really good job but, this has helped it even more with crispy sounds. PROs: - Does what it is intended to do for the winds - Looks cool and literally looks like a dead cat Cons: - Calling it dead cat in public with cat lovers sounds like I offended them
