Sali’s 20 Pack 40 Grit 4.5" x 7/8" flap discs are a solid, affordable choice for general grinding and weld cleanup, but a few quality inconsistencies keep them at 4 stars instead of 5. They remove material quickly and the Type 29 bevel design makes it easier to get into edges, contours, and for weld blending and radius grinding. The 40 grit is aggressive enough for heavy stock removal while still leaving a reasonably smooth surface for follow-up sanding. Compatibility with standard 4-1/2" grinders and the 7/8" arbor size is spot on, and they handle typical grinder speeds (up to around 13,300 RPM) without issues. On the downside, in a bulk pack of 20 there are occasional discs that seem to wear out faster than others, and you can feel minor differences in balance between some of them. They still work, but you notice a little more vibration and slightly shorter life on a few pieces compared to name-brand discs. Overall, I’d rate them 4 stars: great value for the price and very usable for home shop and light professional work, just not as perfectly consistent or long‑lasting as premium brands.

These work much better than grinding wheels, they remove a lot of material very quickly and last a long time.

Been using them to make knives for a while now. They work very well and last a long time, perfect for grinding wood and metal.

Used for removing very thick layer of paint from a wood deck prior to refinishing. Using a very light touch I was able to strip the old paint in practically no time. Highly recommend this product. If purchased please bear in mind that this will remove a lot of material, quickly. So have good control of your tool.

Great product & price!!

These disks really grind down metal and are way more affordable than buying anything locally. They work well to take off paint and rust and really remove the surface easily. Not anything special but they do it well and for a decent price which make for a good value.

Bought 24 of these and they worked great. Don’t last as long as the $25 Dewalt one I bought but two disks are about the same as one Dewalt one so don’t mind that at all. I bought another 60 disks and love them. I’ll keep buying these over the expensive ones any day.
