Welding Helmet, TACKLIFE with 4 Independent Shade Filter Sensors, Full Shade Range 4/4-8/9-13, Optical Class (1/1/1/1), Solar-cell Powered- PAH04D

I'm not a professional welder, I'm a hobby welder looking for my first automatic mask.What a difference. This mask seems to do all that a hobby welder would need. It can also be used as a grinding screen with different dimming modes. The sensitivity control works well and the darkness is fine enough you can adjust to see chalk lines as you weld.The difference being hands free makes is liberating.My only gripe is it feels inexpensive. It does the job, but it's not rigid enough to take on a job site. The head harness is very adjustable, but feels like it will be the first thing to break.Good mask, maybe 25 quid worth rather than 35... but good all the same and perfect for hobby work where you might use a variety of processes.

Im a welder by trade & this is a surprisingly good helmet.I use a speedglas adflo as main helmet but this is perfect for when i dont feel like wearing the heavy adflo battery belt.Perfect for tacking up,light weight helmet with good vision.

The auto darkening screen works ok but I was really looking forward to a slick working helmet with no fuss. The fitting is in three or four parts including a hinged back, this hinged back which rests on the back of you head is very tricky and you have to alter it every time you put it on, plus the wheel which you turn to tighten or loosen the helmet on works under tension when the helmet it on, basically you have to faff every time you put it on. It's not the fast working easy care piece of equipment I was looking forward to. I don't think they've tested fully in 'the field.' I'm still using it though, I'm going to get a big named brand one next time. I've had it for 6 months.

Excellent! My partner used medium cost models before that caused eye strain. I made him spend up and get this one because the guys in the know recommended it. He immediately liked the fit and adjustable head positioning. And after using it for several hours with no eye strain he was soooooo pleased!Mask gives ample room for anyone wearing glasses.He thanked me for this :-)

I brought this helmet after my long serving poorly treated welding helmet finally gave up the ghost. Its been many years since i have purchased a new helmet and the difference in value for money couldn't be more noticeable. Being as my last one was four times the price. I was very suprised to see this helmets quality when it turned up. In comparision to the old helmet the tacklife one has a fully adjustable (padded) head band which is so comfortable. The viewing panel is massive and realy helps when in tight spots etc, the picture is also so clear. I realy like that it has a grind mode aswell. In the box also came the carry bag with spare battery and lenses which is a very nice touch (old mask didnt have any spares). All in all i'd say from complete novice to old hand this mask realy is worth the money and i cant speak highly enough for it at this price!

Fantastic welders helmet. The Test button is a great and unique feature of testing if the helmet is working. The spare lenses and bag is also brilliant. The helmet is very light weight and does not make you feel uncomfortable or heavy headed. The ability to have a magnifying lens is another great feature. For a product made in china this is absolutely impressive and one great buy. Give it a go it really is good.

I am a hobby welder and this is the third auto-darkening helmet I have bought and by far the best, in every way.Clear vision and accurate and easy adjustment of the settings allows for a better view of the weld and therefore better welding! It feels reasonable quality for the price and comes well packaged with spare lenses and battery. The black storage bag is a good feature and the outer pocket give you somewhere for the spares and the paperwork, etc.My only gripe is the face shield is a little narrow on me and just rubs on my cheeks when flipping it up and down. Not enough to be a problem as I only need to use it for a couple of hours at a time. Excellent piece of kit at a good price.

Good value and effective welding helmet.Seems to be well made for the price and it even came with a spare battery, reactive glass shield and in a carry bag.I’ve used it for about 5 hours over a few days and it works well for DIY use.The only reason for 4 stars is that the head straps do work loose after a few minutes... the strap adjuster doesn’t grip for long. Minor inconvenience though and happy to trade-off for the price as everything else is good value.
