Nerf Pocket Vortex Howler

My wife bought two of these for our twin grandchildren - six years old - and they have proved to be a huge hit. We spent ages playing with them and they in turn quickly became far better at throwing and aiming because unlike a normal ball these tend to be a little easier to throw a reasonable distance thus encouraging the small people in your life. They fly true and straight even in a fairly stiff breeze we found out, making them ideal for places like a beach. Each has an inbuilt whistle that isn't too loud but can be heard, adding to the interest. The actual construction is excellent and as long as the are not abused or used by a dog then, they seem to stand up well to their intended use. The 'ball' bit is a soft but resilient foam that has enough mass to fly well but not so much as to cause problems if your child catches it in the face as my grandson did a couple of times. No black eyes to explain away to his mother thankfully. I get that these look at bit modern and trendy compared to a ball, but honestly they are very traditional and seem to engage my young grandchildren far more than many other things. I guess the primeval need to be able to throw and catch is still buried in the human psyche to the extent that a simple thing is still hugely addictive. If you have an older child or even an adult then honestly, these things can be chucked miles. My son who is 6'4" and could throw a ball further than anyone I've ever met could make these practically disappear! Overall, a cracking old fashioned type toy that really does work.

Great toy to see who can throw longest distance

Firstly I need to point out that this is a lot smaller than you think. However, it is still lots of good fun. highly recommended

I bought this as my 6 year old son and I have a standard size Nerf ball and my almost 3 year old son desperately wants to join in but it’s too big for him to throw properly. This ball however is perfect for him and it goes a surprisingly long way. Really small and compact but suitable for any age from 2 to adult it fits in my back pocket and goes everywhere. He rest value for money, lots of fun for all ages and lots of fun for everyone. I’d definitely recommend and will be buying many more for my sons’ friends birthday presents.

I appreciate the description says pocket size, but be ware this is absolutely tiny! Slightly disappointed at the size to price ratio but other than that does what it's supposed to.

I bought this to take on holiday it was great fun in the pool and survived in the suitcase.

acquistato dopo anni di ricerche. rispetto a quello che mi aspettavo è più piccolo, dimensione di una pallina da tennis allungata. ottima maneggevolezza, nel lancio stabile e ruota bene creando il caratteristico sibilo, però non vi aspettate sia forte, in ambienti chiusi si sente bene all'aperto in giornate ventose si sente appena. si riesce a lanciare lontano, è molto divertente. Usato in acqua a mare galleggia e no si rovina. il corpo è morbido però ovviamente lanciato con forza fa cmq male. gioco consigliatissimo
