Just bright enough for my taste and works for both kitchen and bedroom. Excellent dimming capability which has a warmer glow at lower settings. No flickering and able to look directly at them without burning my eyes unlike cheaper bulbs that were intensely bright to look at even though they produce the same level of room lighting. Color tone is excellent. Have 12 installed now in can lights and ordering other kinds for the rest of the house.

I love these bulbs. The brightness of these daylight bulbs is wonderful and lights up the whole room. When I moved into this house I changed every light in my living room, kitchen and hallway to these bulbs. They made I big difference

Does the job without a dimmer. On an older dimmer it’s not as happy.

They Work as intended

I'm very picky about the lighting in my house. I could never stand compact fluorescents and most of the LED bulbs look either "hospital white" or "bug light yellow". Standard incandescent is my preferred choice. However, they've also become almost impossible to find or are very expensive when I do. The light quality I get from these is as close as I've come to incandescent. They're just a hair more yellow but far from the typical bug light color. They don't really dim the same as an incandescent bulb...they kind of cut out when you get down low. And they also have this weird thing where the light doesn't just shut off when you flip the switch...they kind of taper off. Overall though, they're a great replacement for incandescent.

This is a very bright white light- 5k It is is not a soft white shade

I have bought a lot of different brands of LED lights on Amazon. My pot lights would always flicker every now and again. I thought maybe the old dimmer could not deal with the lower wattage of LED versus incandescent. Nope. Change the switch and the same thing. These Philips lights have not flickered once. I think there is a real quality improvement in the ballast of the lights. Don't mess around with other "bargain" lights.
