Buy it!
Informative and easy for dyslexic students to read and understand, colourful and direct. Great for those studying early years, primary education and SEND at degree level.

Practical and easy to read but covers complex ideas, if you work in EY you should read this!
I think this is worth a read by everyone who works in early years, whether you’re experienced or new to the sector. It’s practical and has clear suggestions about how to reflect on each area of the curriculum and take action. I particularly liked the discussion about inclusion for children with SEND and equalities. It gives clear accessible links to relevant research and gets you up to date with current thinking. I’m a deputy head in a nursery school but I think this would be useful for students and senior practitioners alike across the field.

A must read for all involved in eyfs and curriculum within your school!
This is a a must have read! As we reflect on our curriculum within school, it’s vital that all staff are aware of how EYFS fits into this. There are lots of reflective questions to consider after each chapter and it gives clear thinking on the many elements we consider when thinking about curriculum and practice. A particular takeaway for me was thinking about the ‘taught’ curriculum and the ‘environmental’ curriculum. A brilliant read!

An incredibly useful book for all working in Early Years
I was gifted this book at an Early Years conference recently and have already found it incredibly useful! It can be read from cover to cover to deepen knowledge, challenge practice and encourage critical thinking or, one you can pick up and use to develop specific areas. I wish I’d had it whist completing my degree! The contributors are all very well known in the field and are skilled at interweaving theory, their own experiences and pedagogy in an easy to read format. It will definitely become text I regularly refer back to and share with colleagues moving forward.

An absolute must read!
This book is an absolute must read for anyone working in Early Years! The focus on the curriculum is really helpful. The book is very easy to read and has links to research and also examples of practice which are just great! I will be keeping this book on my desk at school to keep 'dipping into' and will definitely be weaving sections of this book into team meetings and EYFS training.

Very helpful book for EYFS studies and developing practice
This book is very accessible and clearly laid out. It outlines all the EYFS areas of learning, with clear links to research and some inspiring examples of practice. The focus on curriculum is so helpful. I'd highly recommend it to all those studying early years, and for those in practice already, and also for Head Teachers and Managers. I think it's the sort of text that can have a very positive impact on professional practice and understanding.

Putting the EYFS Curriculum into Practice.
It is a great read, very informative. There is a lot of information on early years education and the importansce of child development, both phsycologically and physically. I worked in a nursery called "Tadpole Nursery" many years ago and reading this book gave me many fond memories. the methods expressed in this book are similar what we used to do in the nursery especially the activities expressed in chapter 9 by Anni Mc Tavish.A GREAT READ.
