Makes a very difficult job a little easier
Took down some wallpaper in the new house and uncovered cracking paint underneath. The old owners had painted onto plaster without primer. Tried the household scrapers I already had but it was obvious that wasn't going to work Of course, I've only purchased one of these so I cannot compare to competitors. I did some research and read reviews and this one seemed well regarded. Others may be better - I don't know. However it's worth noting that scraping paint off a wall is a very hard job even with a good scraper. This made the job easier, but certainly not easy by any stretch. I was doing one 2mx2.5m wall and the job took maybe 6 hours with this. Personally if I were doing anything larger than one wall I would be looking for professional assurance or else some sort of electronic tool or heat gun etc.

Does the job.
Bought this as needed it same day for a DIY job, sadly it comes with an unsharpened blade so had to wait till the next day to use it after switching the blade but it did the job!

Brilliant scraper
Absolutely loved it. Very sturdy and easy to use. Ultimately broken due to misuse but helped me finish a DIY project all the way to the end.

Great Item
this is so much better than the short handled ones I have been using in the past. The walls in our house are pretty new and I wanted this for scraping wall paper off. As the walls are very good I didn't need to use the Stanley knife side of the blade and the more flatter end was enough for me, but if you had lots of layers to take off or walls that need extra sharpness I CAN'T RECOMMEND THIS ENOUGH. SO EASY TO SWAP THE BLADE AROUND, JUST TWO SHORT PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS. This helped me so much in stripping the wallpaper, will now be my go to tool for other things too.

Brilliant scraper at a good price.
Superb heavy duty scraper. Much stronger and more durable than the crappy Wickes one we used to have. There are 3 areas where I suppose you would rate a scraper, the first is value for money. This one is strong and is definitely value for money. The nest is ease of changing a blade, unfortunately this is where it drops a mark for me. The ridge where the blade lies is not deep enough to hold without you dropping once or twice. The third area for me comfort and actual use. I scraped the wallpaper, old silicon and lots of other crap you find when stripping a hosue inside out. The scraper coped brilliantly, I didn't get repetitive strain and I think for my entire house I went through 6 blades.

The beast!
We like this scraper a lot. Oh yes! It is tough enough to handle the most stubborn wallpaper. It is long enough to get some serious leverage and provides additional entertainment when you slice through concealed electrical cables with the razor sharp blade. This is made more entertaining for the audience if you do it whilst balancing on a rickety stepladder. A perfect backflip and tuck culminating in a carpet faceplant really gets top scores from a discerning audience. I have no doubt that this tool will be passed down from generation to generation and still work perfectly, well into the future. It is a beast!
