Soft as expected. Son is 9 which is little bigger. Even though the chart didn’t show number size, I went with XL to be on the safe side. JIC the sweatshirt shrinks. I like that it’s unisex so younger sibling can always get the hand-me-downs.

Spotted Zebra's Star Wars R2-D2 sweater is nicely made from soft woven fabric with a dense weave. The design is integrated into the sweater. It is not an applique. The design is cute and fun and there are metallic threads in the silver sections. It's quite nicely made and looks and feels like a quality sweater.In a size small it fits my 5-year-old son nicely. It is roomy and comfortable and gives him room to grow.I washed the sweater in my front load washer using cold water and dried it on low heat. It came out perfectly and did not shrink.All in all... a great sweater.

We selected this in large part, because it’s an officially licensed Star Wars product, not some knock-off, it depicts a near life-sized design of R2-D2, and finally, it’s an Amazon/Disney product. This is a premium sweater, from premium brand names, made with rich, colorful, soft, and wonderful feeling smooth medium weight natural cotton cloth. We try to stick with name brand, like Amazon/Disney, because name brands typically have high standards for their clothing. The sweater is easy to wash, and comfortable, with no rashes here, nor there, and the outfit does dry so nicely that we may not iron it. Attention to detail is noticeable here. Great gift idea, sure to bring screams of happiness. Disney clothing stands-out, in and out of school and around town, especially R2-D2. Everyone’s reaction is positive and immediate. Everyone appreciates a well-dressed young lad. Considering the material and its weight, perfect for cool to cold temperature conditions. We washed this with like colors, in cold water, and used a dryer, low setting, with no shrinkage, and then line dried it while still damp. We think wearing a fun sweater like this, is helpful to our young prince’s adventuristic and independent understanding of what it means to be well-dressed. When we are done passing it down, this will be loved by someone else. "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope,” and May the Force Be With You. Very helpful wardrobe addition.

Both me and my son are big Star Wars fans so when I saw this Sweater I knew I had to get it for him.I got the Darth Vader design in size S. Size wise it fits as expected since it fits him well and S is normally the size he wears at 5 years old. The material is very soft, comfortable and has some stretch to it. He normally feels more comfortable wearing sweat shirts but has no problems wearing this sweater all day. The design is really nice, just like the pictures, and it is made into the sweater with the same sweater material, just in a different color so I assume it will last longer than if it was an applique. I have machine washed it and dried it a bunch of times and it still looks like new so it seems to be pretty good quality!
