adjustable wedge pillow

I bought this product chiefly because I have POTS and chronic vertigo, and lying down too far at certain angles can trigger extreme dizziness that prevents me from sleeping. I incidentally read that sleeping with a wedge can be beneficial for POTS symptoms over time, but I'm not sure I can speak to that one. I also suffer from vasomotor rhinitis and a deviated septum, which sometimes require sleeping more upright since I can't always breathe through my nose well. This wedge pillow was just as expected, and is soft with the right amount of firmness for me. You can place it in various configurations to achieve the level of uprightness desired. It doesn't seem to increase body heat, which is important for me since I have trouble regulating my temperature and tend to sleep very hot. The pillow, somewhat annoyingly, only attaches well with the wedge configured a certain way, so I haven't really used it much - I have two of my regular pillows on the wedge instead for comfort and neck support. It's really helped me a lot! For those who have never used a wedge and may struggle with back, hip, or other lower body pain, sleeping in a more upright position can increase the pressure on lower body points. I use many other pillows or rolled up blankets to bolster my lower back, legs, and hips for maximum comfort, but still wake up a little stiffer. The trade-off is acceptable for me since I'm getting much better sleep now, so I recommend stretches to help release the increased tightness if you experience that. Trying a less intense degree of wedge slope by flipping it around can also help. I am rarely dizzy when I lay down to sleep or when I get up in the morning, I can breathe more easily on stuffy nights, and my chronic neck pain and acid reflux are greatly reduced as well. Like all memory foam, there is a slight smell to this product, but it didn't off-gas strongly when I opened it and it doesn't bother me - all of my pillows are memory foam. I really appreciate the washable cover, which seems to be made with cooling fabric, though I have yet to remove it and can't comment on how it washes. All in all, I really do recommend this, it exceeded my expectations!

I was initially very sad about my purchase here. I had expected a firm pillow that was exceptionally stiff in order to prop myself up higher due to sciatica. It is said that if you lay on a stiff wedge pillow on your belly it may greatly relieve pressure on your spinal discs allowing corrective healing. This pillow is very comfortable and pliable, so it does not fulfill this need, so I was greatly let down by the purchase. Upon expressing my frustration the seller made all efforts to correct the situation and ultimately made things right for and with me. I'm very pleased with this seller and ultimately this product is not bad if you understand its nature. The quality is definitely good and of a high standard, you just need to understand the use case and that it doesn't life you very high. If you're looking for simple comfort and some support, this pillow can't be beat. I would say you could sleep well on it.

The little half roll cushion has no connectors to hold it in place, so it moves around. I like to put it under my neck and wake up with it shifted completely off to the side. Otherwise, it's very comfortable.

I was going to have surgery and needed to sleep in an upright position post op. This was the perfect solution. You can configure the elevation angles from very upright to a more gentle slope. I also use it for reading in bed now that I am healed. Good quality, comfortable and very supportive.

I bought this before my shoulder surgery and slept on it for a week before I had it done to make sure my body was use to it before I spend months sleeping on it. It worked okay before the surgery, it was more my body was not use to sleeping in that position but after shoulder surgery I couldn't sleep on it as it would make my shoulders hurt even worse with the firm pressure this has. I am almost 3 weeks post op and I still cannot lay on it for more then a couple hours at a time. Luckily I already had a recliner type camping chair and have been sleeping in that. The quality of the product is nice and I'm sure would work for others but for me it just did not when it came to sleeping on it.

I don't know what I would have done without this wedge pillow! I have to keep my head and upper body elevated for several weeks after surgery, and this is helping so much. Stacking pillows up would not be working nearly as well, especially with the importance of having a stable support after surgery. If you need to elevate your upper body while sleeping, I highly recommend this product. It provides good support without being too firm, yet is firm enough to work as intended. The little pillow it comes with is great, but personally I prefer my regular pillow under my neck, which is working well. Thanks for this product and also I appreciate that it arrived on time!

Got this for my should surgery and it has made my sleepy alot more comfortable and less pain.. Soft material, but study for my weight. Great quality and no funny smell.

This is a very nice pillow. It's sturdy and the size is perfect. I like the fact that you can adjust the height of the pillow by folding it differently. It's a little bit hot due to the material it's made from, but you can buy a great Egyptian cotton pillowcase on here that dispels some of the heat the polyester retains. These pillows tend to be a little pricey, but this one wasn't as much and the quality was excellent.
