Just What I Was Looking For!
Taking a minimalist approach, I searched for a watch for everyday wear and didn't want to bother about caring for it. Therefore, I didn't want to spend an unnecessary amount and wanted to make sure that the watch is basic but reliable. This retro digital watch from Casio fits all those requirements. GOODS - Price: I paid only £8 for the watch. Therefore, even if I break the watch, I could buy a new one without any regrets about not caring for it properly or not bothering about repairing, or changing batteries for that matter. Great! - Basic but Essential Features: You get Time (12 & 24 hr display formats), Date, Day, Alarm, Stopwatch (the watch only allows for 1 hour. If the stopwatch goes beyond 1 hour, it resets to '0' at the start of the second hour) & a green LED light to help the user read the display in dark places. - Reliability: The watch is a Casio. I've had a couple of Casio calculators and several Casio watches (both analogue & digital). Therefore, I have no doubts regarding the reliability of the watch. Also, I've been using this watch almost everyday for the past 6 months and everything works perfectly fine. - Accuracy: The watch doesn't freeze or go blank. The instruction sheet indicates that there will be a very small time discrepancy (between the actual time & the time displayed on the watch) over time but that's barely noticeable and happens with every watch. It could be corrected easily by manually adjusting the time. - Battery Life: I haven't seen any deterioration of the battery so far. The display looks sharp and the LED seems as bright as it was 6 months ago. In my experience, if you don't use the LED frequently, you could use the original battery for several years. But again, it depends heavily on the way you use the watch. - Resin Strap: So far, the strap doesn't have any damage and since I wear the watch loosely, I barely feel the presence of the watch on my wrist. Very comfortable for extended periods of wear. NOT SO GOODS - Alarm Volume: There is no feature that allows you to adjust the volume level of the alarm & personally, I find that the alarm is not loud enough for my residential area. But for the price I paid, I'm willing to compromise that. - Styling: This range of watches were first introduced in the 1980s and therefore don't cater the fashion requirements of the majority of consumers today. But the looks didn't matter to me. I just wanted a simple watch that works great. Overall, I'm quite happy about this purchase. I fully recommend this watch for anyone that is willing to go for 'Real Value for Money'!

Durable, Good-Value and Easy to Use
I brought this watch before going a trip to Asia, Having always relied on a phone for the time, i realised that with the amount of time keeping i would have to be doing a watch would deffinatley be neccessary. Here's a list of why i gave the watch 5 stars: Build quality: Fine, have no complaints, strap doesnt show any signgs of giving up (after 6 months). Screen is a little scratched but not an issue and only a little noticeable. Ease of use: Easy to set up with decent sized buttons (3) on the sides Waterproof?: Having been scuba diving down to 18m with this watch and swimming many times its safe to say its truly waterproof, however i haven't been past the 18m mark so couldn't tell you how close it gets to that, as ive heard these stated depths on watches are not always reliable. Battery?: Having had the phone for around 6 months its still going ( as one would hope ), i cant say much more about that. Apperance: Looks fine, decent size (fits my wrist with about 3 holes remaining and id say they are about average male size) Conclusion: perfect for someone looking for a cheap watch that isn't going to give up on you

If only the strap was longer... Perfect Otherwise.
Perfect watch in terms of overall usefulness, durability and ease of use. One of the most overlooked things is the incredibly low thickness. This allows you to literally forget about it and gives the ability to wear with any type of sleeve. Increased water resistance over the F91W and a slight protection curve outside the display makes it ideal for all but most extreme cases. The irony here is that whilst something like my much beloved 5610 G-Shock is more rugged, in practice the larger size makes it more likely to catch on things/stand out from the wrist more making it more susceptible to hits. I bought this watch as an interim whilst my 6 month old 5610 is being tested for a seal with Casio, after showing excessive internal condensation which progressed over a few weeks. I have had an F91W for about 5 years and I really loved it and still have it so can vouch for this, in my eyes improved design. I'm sure it would stand the test of time just as well. 4 stars are due to the strap being too short. Simply put I have to use the 2nd last hole and the strap keeper does not stay once set. This allows the watch to unfasten and fall off the wrist. Once I saw it fall right off onto the ground when I was locking my bike and I did not feel a thing until I heard it hit the ground! Second time it fell was the last I ever wore this watch... So after a week or two, it's gone! If only the belt would have been 3 holes longer it would be great - on this and in the F91W, as they are the same or very similar in length. Funny thing is, in all my time with the F91W, I wore it in the same way - 2nd last hole, but it never fell off. Not once. Which did surprise and eased my mind at the same time. The last thing, which is purely down to my taste, is that the digits for time are a bit more square than on the F91W or on the 5610. I prefer if they'd be more rectangular. On a good note, they are all round thicker than on F91W. So if you have wrists of about 18cm circumference or less this is a 5 star watch and don't mind the slightly square digits, it's perfect.

All the watch you'll need.
A brilliant little watch, I bought this model instead of the even cheaper one as it was waterproof and I want to use it mountainbiking as my superduper gps computer's time function is too small to read while riding, anyway the strap wasn't really suitable as it was either too tight or too loose so I carefully sliced it off with a stanley knife and put a velcro strap on there, and now it fits snugly. is super light and has a stopwatch and everything, the only negative thing I can say is that the light is useless, unless that is you're happy just knowing what hour it is after dark as the feeble light doesn't reach as far as the minute or second digits, my friends laughed at me but they all have g-shocks to ride around with, but I have fully formed genitals and didn't care.. An update, having owned this watch for just over a year I just wanted to say again how brilliant it is, it's been mountainbiking in Britain in all weather's, with quite a bit of trail maintenence, digging cutting branches etc, road biking, sea kyaking and climbing in Mallorca, cycle touring and rough camping in France, used in work! and everywhere else, it's not skipped a beat it does have a couple of dings in the case, but no scratches on the face honestly I can't fault it, well the light really is crap, if it ever breaks I'm getting one again or maybe the gold plated version for a bit of bling on the trails.

The only watch a man needs.
I was looking for a lightweight watch that would be comfortable to wear and I would barely notice it when I had it on, because I don't like having watches on for a long time. This Casio is perfect for me as it is nice to wear and looks 'hipster'. A big plus is that the watch is water resistant so you don't have to worry when you wash your hands or somebody pushes you into a pool or something. Due to the price I am more care free when I wear my watch, because if I brake it I can just by a new one. The watch is also very durable as well, which is great. If you are looking for a new watch and don't want to spend more than 10 pounds...look no further because this is the only reliable and really good watch you are going to find for 10 pounds. I recommend this watch to anybody who is active or just wants to add something their watch collection. I thought I would not be wearing this watch so often that I am because I have multiple watches from brands like Breitling, Skagen, etc. It has become my favorite watch. This is the best 10 pounds I have ever spent. The only minus is that I have heard that the strap might snap before the watch but I do stuff that puts the strap to its limits and nothing has happened yet. THE PERFECT WATCH.

A fantastic watch
Firstly you buy it for the look – a classic. Same as the F91 but this one is waterproof. And far less commonplace than the price would suggest. Lots of the big chunky metal ones about and I have received a few compliments about this watch having never gotten any about any other watch. Very retro Keeps time within a couple of seconds a month and the more you wear it the more accurate it is (that’s how quartz watches work) Waterproof – I wear it in the shower, swimming pool, the sea - everywhere. I have had no issues with it and I have used the stopwatch under water Not worried – whenever I have taken it off and then can’t find it, it doesn’t worry me. The watch only cost £10 The figures on the watch make it very easy to read. Stopwatch – It only goes to an hour which is the only downside I can think of. Overall one of the best purchases I have ever made – real value for money. I have had it nearly 2 years

I wanted to love it.
Mine lasted 8 Months. I loved it. I hardly ever took it off, cycled over 3000miles on my bicycle with it on, showered with it on etc etc. It was a constant companion but the strap started to tear and then fell off. I do think it is the ultimate peoples watch, the early VW, affordable, reliable. Also the back light is excellent. The low price makes it almost throw away. I could now buy another one and the broken one would have cost me about £1 a Month for time keeping. I did think about getting a replacement strap but took a guess that buying a new watch would be cheaper. I do also have the calculator version of this watch but it is sadly missing a back light and I really like to see the time in the early hours when raising from bed to get on the cycle to work. So it is a nice lightweight funky watch but you do need to take care of the thin strap. I don't know when mine got caught or how it started to tear but I am now looking for a chunkier Casio G-shock watch which is more expensive but I am hoping it can stand up to my cycle commute slightly better. I am sure I will be back to this model again but for now I am going to pay for the tougher version and see how I get on.

Good watch
Good build quality, easy to use, light weighted, small so it doesn't interrupt your work (lab technicians and factory workers would understand), suitable for swimming... Smartwatches are not for everyone. I tried them for years (apple watch 6) and I came back to the classics. Do not have to worry about scratches, enough time settings (time, date, timer, alarm). It has a light button to see the screen in the dark
