Redstone Computer Desk 3 Drawers 3 Shelves (Black)

First of all the material quality isn't amazing and the coating is laminate wrapping which is bubbled in a few places but if you're paying £40 for a desk that shouldn't be an issue to you and it seems very sturdy. The desk looks great and the instructions were brilliant, I've just moved house and have built a lot of flat-pack furniture in the past few days and the instructions for this were by far the easiest to follow. Each part had a sticker with the number corresponding to the number on the instructions so you didn't have to guess/ assume which part was which. There were also too many of a lot of the screws etc. so no worries about losing one. A screwdriver was included too which was a big help as I had been borrowing my housemates screwdriver for the other furniture. The desk arrived in a day using the express delivery (which estimated 2-5 days) which was a nice surprise. Overall seems like a great desk with very good instructions, lacking in overall quality but for the price it is very good value.

My wife works for the NHS and needed somwehere to work from home, she was the one who picked the desk. My immediate reaction wasn't very posiitve, as I do the assembly and the number of draws put me off, but I was wrong. The instructions that came with the desk were fool proof, everything labelled and with clear instructions, they even included some spare parts. No issues with any of the fittings (which from other companies seem to be made of cheese). The desk is very sturdy and looks better than it does in the images here. My daughter liked the desk so much, that we ordered her one as well. Again, arrived in good time. Unfortunatly the desk top was cracked, damaged in transit. This is where the company really impressed me. In 2-3 minutes after reporting the issue I had a call from Andrew, he not only shipped out a replacement the next day, he emailed me to tell me every step of the process and when it would arrive. The warehouse people wrapped it like they were sending a Ming Vase, took me about 15 minutes to get into it but it was perfect. If you want a sturdy desk, with good storage, that looks good, from a company you can trust and at a great price. This is the one. I almost never leave reviews, but this company deserve the praise.

I just assembled this. It took me about 2 hours but I used an electric screwdriver to help me as, although the provided screwdriver was useful, it was much easier and quicker to use an electric one. The desk is a little lower than expected - not too low but it could have done with being an inch or so taller. The drawers are fine but you can’t open them all the way out which is a bit frustrating. Everything is numbered so it’s super easy to put it all together. The only issues I had were that occasionally the wood would go on wonky so I’d have to take the screws out and start again. The other was that the wood split at the back on one side when I was trying to move it to screw another piece in. Luckily you can’t notice it as it’s on the inside but it could cause issues if I try to disassemble to desk to move it in future. I think the wood is slightly warped but it might just be me. It’s fine for a cheap desk though. Will do the job.

Looks great and easy to assemble. Done it myself with the included screwdriver in just over an hour. Instructions are a little basic but so long as you take your time to pause and understand each step fully you'll have no problems. Nice and sturdy and looks a lot more expensive than it is. Drawers are a little flimsy but you get what you pay for and fine for storing small amounts. Plenty of legroom and the perfect space for my desk chair. I use a 2 screen setup but the desk could easily fit 3 screens if needed. The additional shelving on the right leg is a nice touch and i think it would still be sturdy enough to leave out the middle shelf if you wanted to store a PC tower unit in the space Instead. Arrived early and everything in good condition.

What a great value product this is. I was a little concerned that, at just £53, this would be a flimsy waste of money. I was so wrong. It's absolutely solid, really well-constructed and much better than my previous desk which cost more than twice as much. I'm not exactly a DIY genius, so I've always got some trepidation when I get the instructions out. Nothing to fear hear. This was a textbook example of the very best way to lay out instructions and I was delighted that the various nuts and screws were of a very high quality. It really was simple and took me about an hour to construct. If you want a robust, excellent value desk for your home office or study, this Redstone desk is well worth considering. I'd certainly recommend it.

Firstly, for the price, this is an excellent buy. It's sturdy, looks good, and does the job. Few problems with it though: I made the mistake of assembling it with the screwdriver that they give you (which is very generous of them to give one in the first place), but believe me, you'll want to buy your own or better yet use an electric power one as the screws take forever to get in. Not to mention the fact that the holes they made for assembly aren't even created properly and some of them are painted over, making it difficult to see where exactly each screw goes. At the end of the build, I did try to enjoy a nice cold beer but could hardly hold the bottle as my thumbs were blistered to oblivion due to the uncomfortably screwdriver. I've never had to screw something with so much effort before. It was like a session at the gym. Alas, you get what you pay for! And I'm actually happy with the quality. Just not happy with the screwdriver of doom. Fast dispatch etc, so the seller is A++, but beware blisters and awkward screw holes.

Very easy to assemble. Took me around two hours without an electric screw driver. So it should be really easy if you have one. Very good and sturdy for the price. Really good value but don't expect the quality to be like solid oak. Made of MDF (I think) and covered with a wood effect layer (I bought the black one) which looks nice. The drawers are a bit shallower than and could've been easily made deeper. Amazing customer support. Contacted the customer support to replace a couple of damaged pieces (probably damaged in shipping) They sorted everything out within a couple of days. I have been using the desk for a couple of months now and no problems at all.

I ordered the black desk by mistake but the seller allowed me to change it for the beech. The desk arrived earlier than expected - I admit I was absolutely dreading assembly given the reviews on here. However I had my desk to go in an hour and fifteen minutes and I didn't even need a grown ups help! I did use an electric screwdriver as the one given hurt my hands. The instructions were not very clear but it didn't take long to work out once I had laid all the pieces out by number. The desk is very solid and quite nice looking. The only downside is the shelves do not hold my printer and the drawers do not hold an A4. For those of you getting stuck on the drawers make sure the indents are clear (I had to poke mine through with the screwdriver), as this will prevent the base from sliding in properly and make the drawers jut out awkwardly. Also ignore the instructions as the drawers go together much easier if you put the back of the drawer on last rather than the front.
