This really works the way they say it does but the quality is not 1080 yet it’s perfect for me so I’m recommending. Had some trouble with the cord so it was not coming on so I tried another cord and it worked. I’ll give it a 👍👍👍👍

UPDATES AT THE END! (26/1/2023)I was very excited to receive the device and put it to the test, but my excitement was shortlived. Turns out it only works with the provided cables - doesn't matter which "high-quality", standard USB-C cables you use - only the supplied cables work.Secondly, the performance was PITIFUL. Animations were extremely choppy, and touching anything on screen took a good second to have an effect - for instance: play/pause ... if paused, hit play, takes between 1 and 2 seconds to work. Same in the reverse case (play-to-pause).Overall, for an almost $200 device, I expected *A LOT* more. I followed the (meager) instructions, too, so I'm sure it wasn't an issue with user error.Anyhow, I'm in the process of returning it. I didn't even bother with tech support, simply because I'm well-versed enough in tech to know that if it didn't perform properly at the start, it's not going to get better over time.Also the cable thing is SUPER annoying... what's the point of "supporting USB-C" if you can't use just any USB-C cable with it? I'm sure they just flipped a couple of pins around on their cables+connectors so they wouldn't work with just any cable ... but this is extremely annoying in this day and age.UPDATE (26/1/2023):So I kicked the thing around a little more and can give more clarity. The device converts wireless AA/CP into Android, which is then converted into the CarPlay protocol for the Car's consumption. The car sees the device as a wired CarPlay device.The Android O/S is nice and snappy, so if you just want an "entertainment system" for your vehicle, this little doohicky will do the job VERY well, and with great flexibility.However, if you're looking for a gateway to go from wired AA/CP to wireless, this is not it. The lag is unbearable (upwards of 3 seconds sometimes!!), and there are more solid offerings out there (Motorola MA1, for AA, and wireless CP is almost ubiquitous by now).I raised my review to 3 stars because I do see use cases where this little thing could be very beneficial, but I leave 2 deducted because it doesn't really do a good job in two of its biggest selling points: converting wired AA/CP to wireless.

It works and I am happy with it overall. It does take a couple of minutes to boot up and then connect and start running apps. There are some times, maybe 1 out of 15, that I have to unplug it from power and start over to get it to connect.Overall, I'd recommend.

I have been using this Carlinkit for a while now (month+). I can say that it does not always connect to the phone or to the car system (Toyota Rav4) - usually restarting (unplugging and re-plugging) helps. The successful connectivity rate is about 60-70% (every 3rd, 4th connection is unsuccessful). Additionally, the audio is out of sync for Video Clips (by 1-2 sec.). so don't plan to use it to watch YouTube (or any other video clips) on the phone/tablet while listening on your car system. I have checked if there is any firmware update, but it seems that I am using the latest version.I like the ability of using the CarPlay without plugging the phone to the Car. This is great for the short drive, but I would like to have it connect better.
