I just got it last night. As a teacher, I have all the major drum instruction books. This one will likely be my new favorite. There's a ton to work from. There's very little fluff. You should have a good foundation in mechanics, reading drum notation, and reading rhythm.There are a ton of rhythms to work though... once you've done a bunch, you're "rewarded" with a fill to learn. It's a great strategy to keep moving through the book.Most pages have 7 lines, so you could do it as one page per week.The printing is excellent.

Ideal to work alone or with a teacher. Very progressive.

Very interesting book, I particularly enjoyed practicing the sextuplet section in the back.
