Small battery charger
This thing is quite small compared to other (more advanced) 4-slot chargers that I have. That makes it really nice to bring along on trips. Also, I like that this is powered over USB (micro USB port), which makes it really convenient to charge AA or AAA cells from pretty much anywhere (or even using power banks).This won't charge some of my AAA cells, and I don't know why not (they charge on another charger I have). The only feedback on the LCD is a flashing 'Error' tag.In general, the information on the LCD screen is pretty sparse. Each battery slot has a 3-segment display for relative battery charge. They flash when the battery is charging, and turn solid when the battery is fully charged. This doesn't tell you any additional information that more advanced chargers tell you, like voltage, time, current, or capacity. So, I'm not sure if the LCD is all that much better than just a red/green status LED per slot.This charger seems to have 4 independent chargers, instead of sharing channels like some of the cheaper chargers. It also appears to be microcontroller controlled, to hopefully provide a smarter charge algorithm. I noticed that it kept recharging my eneloop cells after sitting in a fully charged state for a little while though. So, maybe it is just doing a simple voltage based algorithm.

I love this charger
I love this charger, and the fact that it uses a micro USB is very helpful especially when you are travelling, use the same cable/charger for your phone. Great price for a smart charger, that can charge AA or AAA and in can just charge a single battery if you need to. Other than that basic features, a great travel companion. This stays in my camera bag at all times.

Convenient to use batter charger.
This device is an effective NMH battery charger. I especially like that it can be used either at home or in a vehicle since 5V DC power supplies are found in both places.
