Outstanding quality, works great, and great price
My wife, Kathy, has had MS for 43 years and it has progressed to the point that she has very limited use of her legs and cannot stand in a shower or get her legs over the side of a tub to get into a shower chair at our son's house where we only have access to a tub/shower. This bath transfer bench is perfect for her needs either at home where we have a walk-in shower or away when she must use a tub/shower. The bench fits over the edge of the tub allowing her to sit outside the tub and swing her legs over the edge. This is much safer than before. Also, since it has the cutout it makes it easier for her to properly clean herself. From my perspective it was the easiest product to put together that I've ever seen with no tools of any kind needed to assemble it! The cost was also extremely reasonable. The bench is well made and blue color is also very nice. I highly recommend this product. Bath Transfer Bench with CUTOUT, Deluxe ALL-ACCESS for Tub and Shower Transfers. (Blue)

Just what we needed! Well made: light weight; sturdy!
This shower bench is just what I needed! The shower bench allows me to slide in and out of the tub without harming my broken foot. It is well made, light weight, sturdy and affordable. I highly recommend this product.

Dangerous
I got this in June 2019 because although I’ve always been very active, somehow avascular necrosis killed my hip and the top of my femur. I had 8 surgeries between 3/2019 and 2/2020, spent 66 days in the hospital and had 14 wks of 3x a day IV antibiotics for two deadly hospital borne Superbug infections. Because I was non weight bearing on my right side for 8 1/2 months because I had no hip, I was finally put together with plates and cement covered wires. I’ve done months and months of PT and can walk a mile with my walker and was beginning to walk around the house w/out a walker. My reconstruction surgeon told me that if I break again, or get another infection, everything comes out and I’ll never be weight bearing on my right leg. He also said that the only thing that could break the wires and plates is a catastrophic fall. Well, today I was taking a shower and the bench collapsed in the middle, like another 1 Star reviewer said.I was on the floor of the shower unable to move, trapped by pieces of plastic & aluminum, my husband couldn’t get me out because I was stuck., I’m not suppose to even sit on a low chair, but I was on the wet, slippery floor. I am not a heavy woman, way much less than the maximum, but it broke with no warning. Together we finally got me up with my walker and the only real pain I have is in my wrist that I came down on, and although my heart’s still beating like a rabbit’s, I think I’m okay. I walked with my walker into the bedroom and can stand unassisted. But if you love someone who needs to shower or tub transfer, please consider these stories.

Features allow my husband a safer bathing experience
Two improvements over a previous brand I had been using to assist my husband with a bath. The previous brand was deeper and my husband had to scoot forward on the seat to be able to wash his legs. This brand enables him to stay seated and just lean forward to wash his legs. Best new feature in this brand is that we can leave the center portion of the seat out and easily clean his perianal area. He has limited mobility and is not supposed to try and stand up in the bathtub. Because he can stay seated it is a much safer experience because of his limitations. I have read a lot of reviews and it seems that most people use transfer benches for showering. We use it as a bath aid and add water directly into our bathtub. Nice thing about that is that we don't have a shower curtain in the way. He can reach the water and clean most of himself with a bath sponge. I am always in the room with him to assist and clean his back and other areas. He has Parkinsons and if he was trying to hold on to a shower wand to help clean himself we would have most of the water on the floor. We are very pleased with this purchase.

Very nice shower seat
This is a nice sturdy shower chair, lightweight & easy to move, however it did work well in my shower. I was too late to return it, so hopefully I am able to find a similar smaller one.

Great Chair!
Item was as described, easy to put together. Works great for our shower. This was the only shower chair I could find wide enough to allow my Mom to sit completely in the shower but still have the edge of the bench outside of the shower area. This one is nice because the legs go out in front rather than to the side so you don’t loose any space from the legs hitting the side of the shower/tub.
