IRWIN VISE-GRIP Pliers, V-Jaw, 10-Inch, Press & Slide Button, Anti-Pinch, Anti-Slip (2078110)

I recently added the IRWIN VISE-GRIP 10-Inch V-Jaw Pliers to my toolbox, and they have quickly become a favorite. The press-and-slide button makes it incredibly easy to adjust the width of the opening, allowing for quick and precise sizing to fit various tasks. While you can effortlessly slide to reduce the grip as needed, there’s absolutely no slippage like you might experience with cheaper or other pliers.The anti-pinch and anti-slip features are a significant upgrade, providing both safety and efficiency during use. The build quality is robust, and I can tell these pliers are built to last—I anticipate using them for a long time. I’m so impressed that I’m likely to purchase multiple sizes to complete my set.

The Short: Great pliers with an adjustable click-lock system and the sort of gripping power that'll make the Hulk jealous. For most household jobs, look no further.Look, I'm no handyman. But, every dude needs to have an outlet to feel like a boss in front of their family when they're in need. We just moved into a new place and our bathtub's drain was clogged and, glory hallelujah, the stopper that should've easily twisted off was rusted in place. No matter how much I twisted and tried, it was immovable.Enter IRWIN.This bad boy has some serious edge to it (pun intended). The grooves grip so nicely that for a moment I thought there was a secret adhesive embedded in the grooves (clarification: there is no adhesive, these pliers are just that awesome). I had absolutely no problem getting the stopper off. Heck, the job was so easy that I felt compelled to find other things to twist off in the house just to feel accomplished.Did I mention, the clicking adjustment system is awesome? I've worked with other traditional pliers that take some work to adjust, but IRWIN's clicking system is well worth the money. I'm actually surprised that they don't charge a few more bucks for having something that stands out against its competitors. The click keeps my setting in place and doesn't budge as I'm doing the job.Point is, if you're in need of great household pliers, these will do more than fine. As I mentioned in the title, there's a reason The Sweethome picked these as their go-to pliers. I don't do industrial jobs so I'm not sure how they'd hold up against larger needs and jobs. But, if I can come out as the hero in my family, you'd be surprised what the IRWIN GrooveLock Pliers can do for yours.

Just what I was looking for. Nice, well made, and its an Irwin.

I have an old pair of this type pliers, often find that having two would make things easier.These are designed and made well, for a long-term multi-use tool.I didn't want to cheap out on these. Buy Once, Cry Once.Now I look forward to using these.

High quality wrench!

I had a shower head that was too tight to unscrew by hand. I tried using an adjustable wrench, but I couldn't get a proper grip because the part was completely round. These pliers allowed me to easily get a strong grip and unscrew it. Very happy with them!

I saw these pliers recommended elsewhere online and took a chance. For under $12 bucks, these are a steal. Well-made and comfortable to use. Wish I'd known about these pliers ages ago.

The lock on these pliers make it so much better than a normal groove pliers. i have one of each and i always opt for the press and lock version. the grip is nice and ergonomic, the build quality is amazing and they work perfectly for compression fittings.
