Easy to install, works great on older stereos that have aux input in rear
Worked great on my old school Sony Xplod radio from Japan installed in a JDM 1995 Nissan Skyline. Did not come with Bluetooth since it’s from 1999 but had auxiliary inputs in the rear. Used T taps and double sided tape that was already provided with kit. Mounted directly on top of the radio and linked up quickly.

Excellent product
OK, this product exceeded my expectations. While it does not come with an on/off switch, I added a low cost rocker switch, very easy to do. I use this on my sailboat stereo system. I wish I would have done this ages ago. Works fantastic. It is a good 25 feet from the BT adapter on the stereo to the cockpit. No problems at all. It even works when shutting the stereo cabinet door, flawless. I can now control what I play from the cockpit (Pandora streaming). It allows me to change the songs and adjust the volume. I keep the volume relatively high on the stereo and low on my phone (Pixel 5 btw). I can just increase the stereo volume by increasing the volume on the phone. I used a 5 amp ATC fuse off of the DC panel near the stereo. The sticky back is strong, no screws needed. I just cleaned the surface with alcohol first. The rocker switch also has sticky back. This was a 30 minute install job on the boat. Rarely do I ever get a boat project that is less than 1 hour. Happy customer. I was questioning the price at first but it is a decent value. High quality.

Failed after barely any use - super frustrating!
Complete fail. Was a great, affordable option for my restoration project to stealthily add BT capabilities and modern tech to my old Mustang. Worked great first 3 times we tested, put the car all together feeling confident … Very short lived as it worked another few times after dash setup was completed and then died about 2 days after. Checked and replaced the supplied inline fuse that came with the unit and troubleshot all connections, fuses, and amps on an old head unit I had in the shop and all failures lead back to this BT unit. It failed to turn on amps or play ball with the rest of the system- now I’ve got a few hours tacked to my restoration of un-installing the dash to replace this POS unit. I’ve been installing stereo setups for a very long time with decades of experience in multiple cars with different configurations and this was a huge disappointment…Not happy.

Good Bluetooth, with small reservations
Excellent bluetooth capabilities. No buttons to push means you can hide it somewhere inaccessible without hassle. Pairing works great and the sound quality is up to par. I'm using this in an older car which doesn't have any native bluetooth support, and for that it works great.I did remove one star, from what is otherwise an excellent product. Reason being, the instructions that come with it direct you to connect it to an "always on" power feed from your car's battery. This means it will never turn off. If the bluetooth module doesn't ever turn off, not only is it constantly draining your car's battery, but your phone will never disconnect from it. If you came home, parked your car, and entered your house, your phone will remain connected.Instead, you should connect the power leads to an "ACC" (accessory) circuit, which is only powered when the car is turned on, and goes dark once it's not.The other negative is the trigger mechanism. I would have used this had I been able, but it's not well thought out. The idea is that any audio signal will send voltage to a trigger circuit which can dynamically power things like amplifiers, turning them off/on as needed. Well, good idea, but the trigger-time is nearly instant. Even something like the few seconds of silence between tracks will cause it to power down any accessories, only to power them back on again when the next track starts. Had they incorporated a 60 second "cool down" timer with this feature, it would be useful. As is, it is not.Despite the negatives listed, as long as you understand those limitations, and they don't bother your use-case, then it's a fine product. I'd buy it again, I just wish they'd thought through the docs and the trigger function a bit more. Still, it's perfectly useful and I'd buy it again.

Slow to trigger my amplifier
I’m using this to connect my iPhone to a car amp… the amp drives the speakers.I’m using the “trigger” to turn the amplifier on as needed. It works well for music. It turns the amp on as needed. It does not work well for navigation, the trigger works when audio is detected, so when the directions are spoken, I miss the first part of the spoken directions. The fix is to listen to something (music, podcast) to keep the amp triggered! Or don’t use the trigger and have the amp “on” at all times. My other complaint is it doesn’t “auto connect” to previously paired devices. Each time I get into the car I have to select the device from the Bluetooth list. No biggie.

This device is awesome.
Needed to replace the stereo in an Infinity FX35. It's impossible to install an aftermarket sound system in this vehicle due to it's custom design. Our FX35 has a built-in amp. This device powers the relay circuit for the amp. I used it with an external push button to power on the BT receiver, this in turn powers on the amp. Easy to install and pair to my Android phone. Sound is excellent. Wonderful find for the price. Hopefully it will last.
