This book is very basic, I don't recommend it.

Too simplistic, a lot of spelling errors, missing some important areas. It is ideal for beginners. Not for intermediate level.

Excellent book on financial statements
This is a phenomenal book! Explains financial statements to non-financial person with very easy to follow examples. Book is very easy to read an understand. I now have a much better understanding on how to interpret financial statements than ever before! Thank you.

Absolutely amazing
This book is absolutely amazing. Every page narrates every line of every financial statements. This book will dictate the description of unique and interchangeable vocabulary. In addition, it will provide you an example of different transaction that would normally occur in a company and where to pencil the transaction in the statements. It will even give you different ratios, how some companies have "cooked the books" (fraud) and more. I am not a business owner but rather an investor and this book gave me some new knowledge.... more than any other book I read. Highly recommended. I am grateful and jovial of this purchase. Absolutely no regrets of this purchase

Yes that right what peoples are saying this book are you'll get from skin deep on the accounting concepts and it in deconstructing how the Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows and the Balance Sheet are changed. Cheers!

Very useful even for finance professionals
This isn't just for non-financial people. I started a career in finance as an equity analyst after being an engineer for +10 years and this book has been very useful. They hired me for my industry background but I am required to know, or at least learn, accounting fundamentals. This book clears up the very confusing world of accounting. As an engineer, it surprises me how many words in accounting can mean the same thing - this book clears that up. It also spells out how the financial statements fit together - many try, this book does it! It is a great reference book.
