Stanley 28-500 Razor Blade Scraper with 5 Blades

This scraper works exactly as it should. it's durable and I know this one will last a long time!

I have been using this scraper for over 23 years. I was able to get them at the local stores, but not anymore. I came here to find them and was very glad. At my job I use them almost every day. They are good quality and seem to hold up very nice. These are so much better than the cheap ones you can find in the store. When you slide the blade out to use, the blade stays out and does not go back in. I have found the only way these get away from me is when I sit it some place and someone takes it. These are so handy for removing the registration sticker on the car also. Would I recommend them to someone? I would 100%. You get your money's worth out of these and then some. I have never found a razor blade scraper better than this.

Just like my old one except it's new and not covered in dry paint and chalk. I choose Stanley products over others because they retain proven designs. Don't fix it if its not broken.

This is a fairly basic scraper that comes with extra blades and it performs exactly as expected, all for one buck! The scraper body is metal and the blade can be retracted when not in use. I put one of these into my 72-hour bag since this is a very useful tool to have in an emergency. Recommended! CFH

It’s a good quality product. Stanley used decent gauge metal for the body. Lock mechanism is also a good gauge metal. And is produced in America which is a plus. I fell like I received a good value for the price. Will buy again if I had to but I doubt it will be necessarily.

Lowes don't sell these. They want you to buy their Blue Hawk crap, which sucks! You just can't beat a Stanley!

I initially really wanted to like this product. Being a collector of tools, the Stanley name usually inspires confidence in the product. This time however, the product I feel is somewhat unsafe. The mechanism that locks the blade in the in and out position is not secure enough. On older versions (talking really old), there were notches at the top and bottom of the sliding track for the button to engage. Not so with this model. Very little pressure at all is required to extend the blade forward. This is really not good considering this is a razor blade. I did not hurt myself but I would hate for someone to do so who is not experienced with the operation of these tools. BOTTOM LINE: It does it job if you are very deliberate and careful in using it. I opted for a refund, which Amazon provided with no questions asked. I wont offer an advertisement for another product, as it would be dishonest, but there are others out there with other features. I'm not sure why they changed the locking in/out mechanism on the older versions. Amazon Service: 5 stars as usual Stanly Razor Scraper: 3 stars because it scrapes and cuts. I saw on Pinterest that you could clean soap scum off of your shower door using a scraper and this is the one they recommended. It worked like a charm. It was gross and satisfying all at the same time seeing the soap scum scrape off like that. It literally looked like fresh soap scrapings! For my purposes, I wish it could have been wider but other than that, no complaints!

The product header listing and photo gives the impression that it comes with the scraper and the blades. Whereas, I have shocked to receive only the blades!!.. I have written clarification emails to them but none of them were answered.

Nothing beats one of these guys to scrape glass. Its the PERFECT job for the tool. I use it to scrape the inside of my fishtank too. The only bit that rusts is the blades themselves. The holder is either stainless or covered in clear paint, as its held up really well! I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again if I need another.

Nice packaging. Well made. Perfect for scraping grease off cooking surfaces.
