A complete kit to learn and explore the Raspberry Pi Pico!
My husband wrote this review:As a hobby, I enjoy building electronics projects using microcontrollers (ESP8266/ESP32) and for some time I wanted to get my hands on the "Pico". I wanted a kit that would allow me to do various projects, and this kit blew me away.Overall value: 5 stars- Lots of componentsFirst, the number of components included is really neat. There are 32 different modules and what is best is that no solder is required. Even the Raspberry Pi Pico had the headers already soldered. A breadboard, Dupont male-to-female and male-to-male cables, a USB cable, and a screwdriver are included. Usually, kits include lots of sensors but one of the deciding factors for me to select this kit was the robot car components. So this made the deal even sweeter!- TutorialIn addition to the hardware, you get a tutorial that includes 32 different lessons to get you started. Once you understand how to use the different components, then you can start combining them and modifying the code to create new projects. I like that I get 32 free classes just by purchasing the hardware.Package: 5 starsI like that it comes in a sturdy plastic case which makes it easy to store everything and keep my area organized. The plastic case was bubble wrapped for extra protection through shipping (see the first photo).Documentation: 5 starsThe kit includes a large glossy map of the components included (see the second photo). The map also includes assembly instructions for the robot car.The kit doesn't include the instructions for the projects but in the Amazon page description, it says that you can download it from the vendor's site. Look for the kit on their site, scroll down and at the bottom of the page you will find three links. One is for the glossy map of components (good as I expect mine to get crumbled due to use), and the other two are to download the code used in the tutorials (a zip file) and the tutorial manual. The instructions are clearly written, and the photographs included are high quality which makes it easy to zoom in to check the connections. The fourth photo is a 300% zoom from the manual. Conclusion:Even if you are new to electronics, this is a great kit to get you started. It makes a great gift and is an excellent opportunity to bond with your kids and expose them to things other than video games.

Great Kit
Elecrow as a company is great to work with. We had purchased a Crow Pi 2 from them and their support was great and helping us replace software that we lost. While there is a bit of a learning curve to get things initially started with this kit but there are a couple tricks. You need to go to Elecrow website and search "raspberry pi pico advanced kit" or view the URL in the picture I posted.Bottom of page you will find the download material.Once you get the lessons downloaded, it is easy to get going and the lessons are easy to follow. One thing we found is the breadboard may be different than the picture so pay attention to + / -.My 7 year old and I had a great time learning and playing with this kit.

Information found
The only reason I am giving two-star rating is that I do not know what to do with this kit. There are no instructions, booklets or web links to get going on the set up and how to do the projects. Otherwise, all the components seems to be included. I did not have chance to test them due to the aforementioned reason.I am updating my review to 5-stars as I found the instructions on elecrow.com site for the product.

Great kit for learning about microcontrollers, but expect a learning curve
First, Elecrow does state that this is an “advanced kit,” and they mean it. If you are completely new to Raspberry Pi Pico, then keep in mind that Elecrow also sells a beginner kit that walks you through the steps in more detail. As for me, yes, I was a beginner, but I always assume I can figure it out. I’ll include some tips for where to look for information down below. What you get with this kit is a box filled with components without much else. The kit does not contain much in the way of documentation. There is a single sheet showing the parts included along with a visual guide for how to assemble the car. While the description does refer to “32 Projects Lessons,” you’ll need to go find those for yourself.Scanning the QR code on the box will take you to the Elecrow website. Once there, search for the “Raspberry Pi Pico.” Then click on the Raspberry Pi Pico Advanced Kit. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and look for the links under “Manual & Lesson.” Download all of these. This will include a PDF file that includes all 32 projects, a beginner guide to MicroPython on Raspberry Pi Pico, and a digital version of the car assembly steps. Buried within these files (once unzipped) are also the MicroPython files that you will need for each project. Unless you want to retype them from the pdf. A warning, this documentation only has tables of connections, but does not include all connections for each project. I found it useful to print out a large diagram of the pin configuration to see how to connect power, etc. Also, if you are new to using breadboards, I’d recommend searching for “how to use breadboards” on youtube.com. There are numerous intro tutorials for using breadboards, along with video tutorials on the Raspberry Pi Pico. All very helpful. So far I’ve completed the first 3 lessons and am really enjoying playing with this kit. It took me a while to get to that point. I’ve also begun a list of things I want to try with the Raspberry Pi Pico that are not included in the kit. Would I recommend this course? Absolutely! I do wish they had made the links to the files more obvious, and for that I’m giving a 4 star rather than a 5 star. But, if you are interested in learning about microcontrollers, and you are not intimidated by the advanced kit, then this kit is a great way to get started. Go have fun!

Great Kit for Testing and Creativity
This is a great little kit for anyone wanting to experiment and test with a Raspberry Pi. The set did not come with instructions but for the creative mind, you can figure out basic principles of what each part does. It would be good to have interactive instructions to help younger kids.
