OXO Good Grips Covered Ice Cube Tray Set

I love, Love, LOVE this covered ice tray! So easy to stack other items on top of, without having to worry about it ruining your ice. Very easy to fill, and I love how easy it is to get just one or two cubes out, at a time, without worrying about the rest of the cubes spilling out, and being wasted on the floor or counter. Wish I had found it sooner! The only thing that I do not like is the price, which I think is really steep. However, it IS extremely sturdy, very thick yet flexible enough to release the ice without the tray, itself, cracking. In all, high quality product that performs exactly as advertised, and if the price were to drop a bit, I would definitely order more. Being on a fixed budget, $4.99 for one tray, or $14.99 for two trays, will leave this wonder on my Wish List until I win the lottery!

I *love* these! I'll be getting more of these brilliant ice trays. How much do I love them? I gathered ALL of my other ice trays & gave them away! The lid slides on relatively easily, allows easy stacking in the freezer. Once the ice cubes are frozen, you can then stash them at any angle and the ice cubes won't fall out. When you want ice cubes, just slide the lid back to expose as many as you want. The individual "wells" are semi-circular and so the "cubes" are easier to nudge out of the tray than rectangular cubes. Because of the shape, the tray would also be easy to wash, and the back is easy to rinse off also (not so for some of the ones I washed off before giving them away!). Another win for OXO. *** Half a year later, everything I said above is still true, and I still find them very easy to make, use & store ice cubes. My only add'l comment is that they take up more room in the freezer than a more conventional ice cube tray, per amount of ice made. Not a complaint, just something to be aware of.

Our ice maker is on the fritz, so as a temporary solution, we got these based on a review in the NYTimes. They are easy to fill, and the cubes pop out completely into the holding bin. The sliding cover is nice and I hope they won't crack. We can stack these in the freezer easily. Price is fair. We like 'em!

I had none of the issues with not being able to slide the lid and can only assume those who did must have really overfilled. The ice tray is easy to use, opens easily, and the cube size allows for quick freezing. I have listed what I consider pros and cons below. The cons will only apply to some users. Pros: Freezes water quickly due to shape of cubes Easy to remove cubes with slightest twist to tray or pushing one end of cube Sliding cover closes and opens easily and protects against spills and freezer odors Cover allows me to stack other items on top Cons: The cube shape allows for quicker melting The tray is larger than other trays and for me that is an issue as my fridge top freezer is small Overall, this is a very good product and if I had more space the size would not be an issue. As it is I will continue to use the Martha Stewart small square silicone cube trays I purchased at Macy's because they use so little space - even though they require wrestling with to remove the cubes.

Love these ice trays! They have a super smart design and I love the cover so other things can stack on top of them in the fridge and once it's frozen they don't have to lay flat. The only downside is if you fill the trays too full, have it freeze on an angle, or get water on the inside of the cover, the cover can attach to the ice cubes inside making it hard to slide off the first time. But really it's not a big deal. Love how easy the ice cubes are to get out with the curved bottom. It's about time someone made them like this! I bought them to try filling my ice dispenser with. I figured since they were the same shape they would work the best. I haven't tried that yet since we haven't had a need for lots of ice for entertaining with COVID, but I don't see why it wouldn't work (we wanted to make ice cubes from our filtered ionized water instead of using the waterline).

I was excited to find ice cube trays with covered lids. I ordered two sets. They easily and securely stack well. Covers and trays are well made, not flimsy at all. The cover slides on and off easily. The ice cube size and quantity is just right for me. The cubes loosen nicely to be taken out and do not break or chip! Worth every penny says the happy purchaser 😊 Thank you.

I was using some ultra cheap ice cube trays to make coffee cubes and they recently started cracking. I tried two other silicone trays in my search for another type of tray that wouldn't crack, but had problem with the cubes sticking. I finally came upon these. Coffee is a bit sticky when it comes to trays and seems to be a bit harder to release. These are perfection for my use! They release easily, (I think I let them sit for 10-20 seconds before they release.) The other great thing is that I just store them in the freezer as-is and just release what I need when I need it. In the past I had to store the cubes and that meant a freezer bag, that in turn meant I got coffee all over my hands when I got out the cubes and most of the time the cubes would stick together in the bag. I have an ice maker for regular ice, but these would definitely be a step up from regular trays for anyone needing plain jane ice. I have so many Oxo gadgets and appreciate every single one of them!

I have tried many i e tray and found this is the best becuase of its build quality, bold look awesome cover and finally and most importantly the semi oval shape of the ice holes in the tray. This shape helps poppping up ice cubes just effortlessly ....will strongly recommend this.

This will be the last ice cube tray you buy...until you buy another one of these ice cube trays. Every problem with ice cubes I have was solved by these trays. Wrong size cubes, too big, too large, ice cubes always breaking up and rarely ever coming whole out of the tray, impossible to twist to get out, etc. I fill these up usually to the point just below where they'd spill into other slots, slide the lid into place, bung it in the freezer. Next time I need ice I fill up my ice cube box in such an easy manner it's actually enjoyable. Grab each side of the OXO tray, twist in one direction, then the other, remove the lid and tip...every cube falls out entirely every single time. I've been using these for months now and without fail, 100% success rate. They just slide on out, whole, EVERY TIME! Ice cubes are the perfect size for me, tray seems very sturdy and no signs of longevity issues, I have two and I stack them thanks to the lids. Very easy to clean. Another great OXO product.
