Great, Multi-Level Set of Books for Teaching a Child to Read
Wonderful, leveled set that builds confidence and helps scaffold reading. Our daughter loves these books, and we loved that they had multiple levels in the same box set. Each book is cute and fun and perfect for teaching phonetic reading. We found that these and the Bob Books are far superior over any branded phonics set (ie, Fancy Nancy, Peppa Pig, etc.) because they actually give repetitive opportunities to practice letters and sounds, in a just-right length. I highly recommend these for teaching reading!

Great for beginners
These books have been so helpful. My son was having trouble with reading. These books were perfect for his level (kindergarten). It was a confidence booster as he could actually read most of the book alone. We are moving on up to E & F!

Fun Early Reading Books
These are attractive, cute early reader books with repetitive language and fun stories. We have tried a few other early reader sets by different authors and my son (age 5) seemed to find the stories boring and pointless. That is not a problem with these books. Liza Charlesworth has crafted short, easy-to-read stories designed to appeal to young children with the use of fun characters (monsters, ice cream, "human beans," even a "little red pen!") and stories that actually have a plot, sometimes with a surprising twist. She uses humor and silly surprises to engage her young readers. Even though the stories are so short and simple, they still have room for fun. They are the first books my kindergartener can read by himself without complaining. I highly recommend this book box! My only request for this series in the future would be to create some additional boxes at this level for different interests--my son would love one just about ghosts, monsters, zombies and other "scary" themes. In this set, there was a good mix of characters to appeal to any child.

Perfect books for beginning readers
I sent these to my granddaughter, who was finding reading a bit of a challenge. She was just ready for books with a bit more text. She was able to read them pretty much on her own using picture clues and the silliness of the story line. The activities at the end of each book are engaging and allow her to use her imagination. She loves them!

Good repetition of words and addition of new words
My kindergartner loved these and they were great reading practice. Good repetition of words and addition of new words was a good pace (not too many too fast). They are fun and a great break from bob books.

Engaging early readers
My 6 year old early reader likes these. They’re engaging and just the right difficulty level. We love the activity book that goes along with each story, too - and every time he finishes a book, he gets to put one of the included stickers inside. It’s the little things!!

Good content and interesting to kids
My kindergartener likes these books, she would ask to read them without being asked to. We moved quickly to the E and F after this.

Excellent set
I am a teacher-turned-homeschool mom, and this is an excellent set of books for beginning readers. To feel successful with this set, your child needs to know their letters and sounds, and be able to recognize a few sight words. It uses a font that is very easy to read, perfect for beginning readers. I like that it comes with a small activity book and some stickers - that was a nice little bonus. Full-colour stories with simple but cute story lines. Would recommend without hesitation.

Funny, engaging, colorful and levels are on target.
These little readers are great! We bought all the reading levels so far because my kindergartener is learning to read and he loves these books. They are funny, engaging, colorful and we have found all reading levels to be right on target. We are hoping they will release higher levels soon so my son can continue to read these as his reading improves. The only downside is they are a little pricey but they do go on sale from time to time.

The most fun
These have been amazing. They're so much more fun to read than any other early readers, and the improvement in my kid's reading is very noticeable. Having two different levels in a box makes so much sense.
