Story: So after reading the first book I was hooked onto this crazy adventure. Like Alice in Wonderland this book series follows the adventures of a small young girl in a strange land encountering creatures and friends alike. If you enjoy odd fantasy you will enjoy this. Books: Story aside, the complete collection is not only an incredible deal, but looks beautiful as well. The box art and individual covers are amazing and have a shine to them. Now keep in mind that these versions of the books DO NOT come with the original pictures seen in other versions of the books. If that is a must these are not the books for you. This is essentially a mass paper back set of L. Frank Baum's books and nothing more. Price: For what you get $40 is a great deal. Buying on ebay, barnes and nobles, or other retailers will cost you between $50 & $70. This does not include shipping fees. Also having the added benefit of prime makes this a deal something to jump on. Condition: Aside from a few streak of discoloration on the spines the books are amazing. These are brand new books sealed in a wrapper so i'm assuming I just had an unlucky error on my books. Final Thought: If you are someone who wants to enjoy classic tales of fantasy at a low price these are the books are for you. For $40 this set of 15 books is a steal. That comes out to $2.60 a book prior to taxes. All in all im satisfied with these books and absolutely recommened them for someone who wants to go on a crazy, fun, wacky, colorful, odd, adventure with timeless characters.

Nice set of books. Looks good. Made of good quality material. A set of books that will stand up to a lot of reading. If you are looking for the story that matches the movie, this one will surprise you. It is nothing like the Wizard of OZ movies and is more entertaining. The original story would have made a better movie. I wish I had known about L. Frank Baum's books when my kids were not adults.

I'm here to more review the books themselves rather than the stories because if you are here I'm sure you know that the Wizard of Oz books are classics and wonderful stories. Okay, so for starters, these books are not illustrated. If you are looking for Wizard of Oz books with pictures, this is not the set to get. None of them have any accompanying pictures. Second, the covers of the books are, in my opinion, wonderful. They have a slightly waxy feel to them rather than a papery feel like normal paperback books. This was a pleasant surprise for me, as I feel like I can grip them better while reading them. And, last really, the only complaint I have is putting all 5 books back into the box is really really hard. They fit so snugly that when you try to put the fifth book back in (whichever one you decide to put in last) it is so airtight that you really have to shove it in there and it just is harder than I think it should be. This could also be in part to the waxy texture of the covers that I mentioned above. But as far as the books go, they are absolutely beautiful books with wonderful, classic stories within them. They look great and feel great. Very happy with this set. Oh, each of the books has three of the 15 stories within it, in case you were wondering about that.

Beautiful books would give 5 stars but the illustrations are not included like in the original books and for that my daughter and I are both disappointed so I am only giving 4.

Great-looking collection for fans of Baum's books who just want the stories. The text isn't in a microscopic font that's crammed onto the page, as often happens in collected works. Each volume features great, colourful cover art. These volumes don't include the old illustrations from the individual books.

Favourite series in my book collection (that is, for the physical books. Story-wise, it would be the Prydain Chronicles). Stunning artwork on the box. The book covers are vibrant. The spines are absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful use of colouring. Not cheap, but worth every penny for this—the best—hardcover edition of the entire Oz series.

Die Lieferung ging sehr schnell. Der Schuber ist einfach wunderschön, die Cover sehen richtig klasse aus und auch die Buchrücken sehen traumhaft schön aus. Alle 14 OZ Teile von LF Baum in 5 Bücher gepackt. Zusätzlich im letzten Band noch "The Royal Book of Oz" von Ruth Plumly Thompson. Die Bücher liegen wunderbar in der Hand und sind auch nicht so "steif" beim lesen. Wer die Story von OZ noch nicht hat, sollte sich diesen Schuber zulegen.
