Nice Eye Cream - Brightens & Smooths Texture Under Eyes - Nice Plumping Moisture & Hydration
(Ingredients list is at the bottom of this review.)I initially enjoyed using the Maëlys Bright-It Lifting Eye Cream. I liked the initial application, feel, and results that I experienced. Unfortunately, it soon became evident that my dry, sensitive skin was becoming sensitized and irritated by the product. Fortunately, it was a fairly mild reaction.I'll start with general information, as well as what I liked about the product, initially. This cream is a thick, emollient cream, yet it has a nice lightweight finish on the skin. The cream has a light pink hue, and it has a very mild floral scent. It is a very light floral scent, which is undetectable once the cream is on the skin. I found the scent to be very enjoyable. The cream comes in a thick plastic jar with a plastic silver lid. The packaging has a nice look and feel to it.I did try this cream twice. The first time I thought I was having some sensitivity, so I washed it off. Due to the circumstances at the time, I thought it would be fair to try it one more time, just to be sure. The second time I used the cream, I decided to try it only on one eye. This way, I could more easily detect changes and reactions to the skin, and I could more easily see any positive results. I typically apply eye creams to the delicate skin all the way around the eye; Under the eyes & down onto the top of the cheekbone, out to the temple, and above the eye. This is what I did with only my right eye.The results were very promising, at first. The eye cream did provide a somewhat brighter, more glowy effect in the eye area. It helped to brighten dark circles. It helped to plump, hydrate, and moisturize any texture on the skin, which really helped to make the skin to look much more smooth. There was a definite difference between the eye area I used this cream on, and the eye I only put my regular daily moisturizer on.Unfortunately, my skin did start to show signs of irritation. Especially around the eye, but also down onto my cheek. My skin became somewhat inflamed, red, irritated, stingy, and tight. The reaction wasn't bad, even after some time had passed. But I know that if I continued to use this eye cream, it would continue to break down my skin barrier. Basically, what I experienced were the beginning signs of my skin barrier breaking down. I don't know which ingredient(s) caused the irritation, unfortunately.Overall, I think this is a nice eye cream for those who are not sensitive to the ingredients. At $39 for 1 oz., it is a bit pricey, but I imagine it would also last quite a while. Because it is a thick, emollient cream, a little does go quite a long way.INGREDIENTS:Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Dimethicone, Betaine, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Cetearyl Alcohol, Synthetic Beeswax, Proline, Chrysin, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, C14-22 Alcohols, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Polysorbate 60, Cetyl Alcohol, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, 4-Hydroxyacetophenone, Caprylyl Glycol, Dipeptide-2, Stearoxymethicone/Dimethicone Copolymer, C12-20 Alkyl Glucoside, Arginine, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Sodium Phytate, Dimethiconol, Hesperidin Methyl Chalcone, Stearyl Alcohol, Sodium Benzotriazolyl Butylphenol Sulfonate, Steareth-20, Caramel, Sodium PCA, Sodium Lactate, PCA, Myristyl Alcohol, Sodium Citrate, Lauryl Alcohol, Potassium Sorbate, Serine, Alanine, Glycine, Glutamic Acid, Lysine HCL, Threonine, Citric Acid, N-Hydroxysuccinimide, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (Parfum), Citronellol, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxycitronellal, Linalool, Red 40 (CI 16035), Yellow 5 (CI 19140).

Thorough review - Very effective and efficient eye cream
Pretty good eye cream!! I’m going to start with what appears to be the average complaint; price. For a fair perception I have tried eye products that range $10 to $150 including the ordinary caffeine serum to ole henriksens banana bright eye cream to sulwahsoo dynamic Lyft eye cream (a personal favorite) to AmorePacific to Dr. Barbara Strum. I could go on and on with the varieties of brands and creams I have tried (some of which samples, some of which I have paid luxury prices for). My experience is well rounded from cost effective to luxurious. In *MOST* eye creams you get 15ML. This eye cream is double the size of that at 30ML. So realistically is about $19.5 when compared to most other brands per 15ML bottle. 30ML at $39 is really reasonable. Honestly, it boils down to what you want in a product (from ingredients, to results, to price) and how effective the product is for you and your skin type. Which is universal consideration for all skin care products. This eye has some pretty good ingredients. Shea butter is an excellent ingredient for deeply moisturizing skin, Vitis Vinifera is grape seed oil when it phenomenal for brightening skin, it also has a couple peptides in it that also help with anti-aging and elasticity. Grape seed is one of my all time favorite ingredients that pairs incredibly well with my skin. In fact it is a main ingredient used in Caudalie vinoperfect line. There’s also a lot of other really hydrating and nourishing ingredients in this eye cream which also really help contribute to anti-aging, elasticity and helping with fine lines or wrinkles. The last ingredient i would draw attention to is dimethicone which is a silicone that is mainly used in skin care product to create a barrier layer on your skin to ensure all the good potent ingredients you want to absorb do in fact absorb. I always like to mention silicones because some people can have issues with silicones. Personally I am very familiar with this silicone as it is used it a good amount of Korea beauty products and my skin is accustomed to it. I don’t experience any reactions or issues with the use of dimethicone but, it is something I like to acknowledge in reviews. This eye cream has a nice rich creamy texture and it absorbs really well. It doesn’t irritate my eyes bringing it right up to my lash lines. It has a really nice subtle scent that fades as the cream absorbs. When I use this product it helps de puff my eyes, brighten my eyes, and deeply hydrate and nourish my eyes. This eye cream is great for using in either the morning and or evening. I usually rotate what I use and when depending on how my skin feel and looks and what I believe I need to target. Now, this isn’t a luxury brand eye cream but, that doesn’t take anything away from what it does provide in terms of brighten, depuffing, hydrating and nourishing. This is a very effective eye cream that I do enjoy using. Since its a 30ML bottle it will easily last a year given that I only need a pea size amount to evenly layer my entire eye area. I am very happy with this cream and would absolutely recommend it. I have really come around to this brands products. This is my 3rd item by the brand and so far everything I have tried has been pretty effective. I would definitely recommend both this eye cream and the brand as a whole.
