This book has been such a fun and helpful tool for my fiancé and me! It’s full of simple conversation starters that led to some great talks—some deep, some just for fun. It’s not super intense or time-consuming, which made it easy to pick up whenever. If you’re engaged and want to grow your communication without feeling like you're doing homework, this is a great pick. Light, meaningful, and perfect for pre-wedding prep!

Its a good book if what people are telling you isnt making sense. Or what youre trying to portray just isnt landing. Helps get your ideas into the minds of others.

This book has been a blessing to me , everyone should have to read this book in school to learn to talk to one another. It's a wonderful skill to develop and work on that blesses your home life professional life family life and all relationships. It's a MUST READ. It's crazy that we think we communicate/listen fine but in reality we really don't and no one really teaches you the how's on communication. If your marriage is struggling, this will most certainly help !!

I hesitated to purchase this book - but I am very happy I did. The author addresses the most basic reason we can be motivated to listen to another - not just hearing the words - but the entire message communicated. It is a terrific gift to practice the listening and feedback to myself and those recieving the attention. What amazed me the most was that my need to talk/be heard diminished greatly as I really invested in hearing what another person had to say and work to make sure I understood them from their point of view. I shared this with my wife and we both are now working the 12 day challenge. I read and review almost daily the focus. It hasn't been close to good, but it has helped me check myself many times and led to very productive and meaningful communication. My only caution is that you have to want, even just a little, to have better communication with others or this book will not provide you with a "trick" to make everything great. It takes work and introspection, but early on I found the rewards well worth continuing.

The book has very good ideas. Most are practical communication techniques. It is wonderful for couples and if you have someone you can practice the techniques with regularly your communication will become much better. As for me I’m single most of my communication is at work. As a nurse I spend a lot of time listening. As for my personal life using the information takes a lot of thought. It is just a retraining process.

This was a great little read. Easy to digest and enjoy. I had read some of the reviews that said the author wrote a lot of listening. And they complained about it. My guess is their communication problems might be because they haven't learned that lesson? Listen. Bento teaches how to listen. If we learn how to listen more with curiosity and less judgment, the world would be a better place. Great action steps with the 12-day communication challenge. I really enjoyed it. If you are needing a deep, intellectual dive in how the cerebral cortex works in communication- this is not the book. If you want to learn how to listen, understand, respond, and respect others in conversation, I highly recommend!

I really like this book. It had several great chapters among all the rest. A couple of a witch were the XYZ formula plus the problem, solving information and formats and followed up well with the 12 step communication exercise, exercise, and ended well with restating some of the main topics which facilitate The full grass of all the information by it being repeated in a constructive and timely manner Thanks again for all your efforts May God bless you to keep on blessing us with this positive information which hopefully brightens up many people's lives Thanks

I love the fact that this book focuses on empathy. A skill we can all cultivate in ourselves, but never have been taught on how to do so. The Author gives great tips and insights on the topic and explains why empathy is crucial in everyday situations. He guides us through a process and helps us understand und cultivate this skill while embedding it into our daily lives. I particularly love the 12 days challenge at the end of the book, where the author asks us to go through a guided journey to become a more empathic person.

This book after reading it has made me to listen more and speak less. Am more empathetic today than ever! Strongly recommendable!

Surprisingly, this book is all you need and it really works. It gives you a correct perspective, skills and practices that you if you do will see changes in life. Very much helpful and needed for everyone. Go for it every penny would be worthwhile.

This book can be read cover to cover in about an hour so that’s quite positive . Initially, when I began to read it , I thought I made a mistake and purchased a book intended for children rather than for adults but by the end , I realized that the author probably purposefully intended to write this way in order to simplify a very complex subject into its rudimentary fundamentals . By doing this he likely intended to help as many people as possible which shows his own level of empathy and compassion for others. That said , I’d like to thank the author for taking the time to care enough for those he intends to help. I too will also attempt to practise all that you suggest and encourage others to do the same . Have a wonderful day!

I used this book as the Book of Month for my book club Amaka’s Book Club and we found it an amazing read. One of the major discoveries that came up in our discussions is that one might think That they are listening g well but the actually aren’t . This was an eye opener for may of the people. Practical steps were given to practice these steps and thereby make them permanent. I’d definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve there interactions with people, and successfully get their message across. In my line of work as a marriage counsellor this is a great resource for a couple.
