It works well coming from a fisherman of 55 years, used on a deep hooked bass which removed the hook with ease where I have struggled in this situation before, also on a large eel being able to remove the hook without having to hold the slimy critter and getting covered in slime.Only 4 stars as I would like to see it in a thinner version.

this is truly an excellent little piece of kit for your fishing tackle box and it allows you to very easily and safely unhook large hooks from fish. I really like the idea and it's very easy to grab the hook by using the extender and handle the end and your hand is a long way away from the fishes mouth which is important with larger specimens of sea fish
