OptiFer Alpha Supreme - Natural Heme Iron

It didn't work for me due to allergies.

It's still early days.. But, after taking these for a few days I ran a 10k race, and somehow managed my third best 10k time. I've been unable to run far or fast since my iron got bad, 2 years it's been. I've been on all sorts of non heme iron and it's barely done anything. A few days on this and I was able to run the full 10k, the week before I'd had to walk most of a 5k! I did try to do a 5k the day after and failed miserably.. So it's not magic, but I definitely feel better and no tummy upset like on the non heme. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. As far as I'm aware you can take this whenever, as nothing inhibits it's absorbtion. I may be wrong, but I know life on non heme was hard having to take it on an empty stomach with vitamin c. I'm going to try their other version with folic acid next which I should have got this time but didn't realise they did it, as I have low folate too.

With my ferritin at 19, my doctor didn't tell me it was low since it was only just in their "normal" range. Ferritin should really be about 100, so I started taking the Optifer F tablets a out 6 weeks ago, and saw my hair and nails grow like crazy and my fatigue almost completely disappear already, headaches also far more rare since starting them. Everything is much better already! I'm sad that the Optifer F are not available on Amazon UK right now, please bring them back as I need heme iron for my health, as so many others. This is currently the only affordable option for those of us who need it. In the mean time, I have bought this lower dose slightly different version from Optifer, since it still contains heme powder. Please stock all the varieties for us!
