Dublin Reserve Zip Up Childrens Paddock Boot

I wish these would have fit. They look nice and seem sturdy, but they are on the narrow side of a medium width. I even ordered a 1/2 size up thinking I'd need warm socks with them in the winter and would have the summer to break them in. I can often fit in a medium width shoe, and be comfortable after breaking them in a little, but these are really scrunching my toes and even the length is shorter than I'd expect... so they'd need a LOT more breaking in, possibly more than the leather would allow for. Also, last week I wrote (via email) to Dublin Clothing Co. that makes these (NOT the Amazon provider who gave great service) to ask if they offer these in a wider width and I haven't heard back from them. It seems a simple yes or no reply would have been nice so I'd know if I should exchange them or look at other brands. So they lost a star for poor customer service from the manufacturer.

I bought these paddock boots when I first started my riding journey. I was looking for something cheap. However I found these gems!!I have been wearing them for a year and a half now. The half chaps I bought with them are already all worn out. But these boots still work great. I have been wearing them in summer months and winter months. Even during heavy snow when I had to chase ponys in the outdoor fields.They do get dirty, but I usually wipe them down with cleaning wipes, then they will look like new again!The only down side is the arch support, the inside of the shoe is prettly much flat and hard, but you wont feel it when you're on a horse.If I were to walk a longer distance I would use some insole inside to make them more comfortable.In short, great products, definitely worth the money!!

I was surprised to find that the quality of the leather was so high, and the soles with such a great grip, and the instep so comfortable, since I paid so little for them. Of course, being on sale helped the decision, but I've always been an Ariat girl.... no more.I thought I'd have to wear them an hour a day for a week to "break them in", but they are comfortable right out of the box.Very pleased with these boots, I went back on Amazon and bought my daughter a pair of Dublins also (albeit a different style - the sale thing, you know-), but she's comfortable right away in hers, too.

This is my second pair of Dublin boots. I wear the boots on my job which requires a leather boot. The boots are comfortable and wear well. My job envolves quite a bit of time out of doors and the boots weather the elements very well. The cost of the boots is very reasonable compared with other similar boots I have purchased in the past.

These were nice boots at an affordable price, but they were a little to big and stiff for my daughter. I'm sure one could break them in and they would move more, but she was not willing to give them a try.

I chose these boots because they were exactly what my daughter needs and the price is 'right'. However, once we received them we realized that the sizes are way off, so they were sent right back!

Not five stars because they were uncomfortable to walk in after a 10 mile trail ride. Otherwise, looked great and fit true to size.

These are good-looking boots and my daughter, who rides horses weekly, really likes them - comfortable and easy to put on (she's always had the lace-up style and likes these a lot better). Fast shipping as well - overall, a positive experience.
