Polarizing filters change the way that your camera sees and treats light. Particularly when using one you’ll notice a change in how your camera sees reflections and glare. As a result it also has the ability to change the vibrancy of some colors in shots. Here are a few areas where polarizing filters can have the biggest impact: ►WATER: Cut out glare and even change the color of the water ►SKY: Rotate the filter you’ll see a blue sky change from a light pale blue color to a vibrant and deep blue color (depending upon where the sun is). Excellent quality at a fraction of the cost of a name brand!
I purchased this lens filter after a friend recommended that I get a polarizing filter one to help my photo quality. After searching a bit, I purchased this one plus another lens filter kit from another seller. I wan't expecting too much from this filter, to be honest, but from the very first photo I snapped I was blown away by the results! The colors that this lens picks up are amazing and are so much more true to life than if I don't use a filter. I love that I can now take a photo of something that gives off a reflection without having to carefully plan my positioning and the position of any light sources. This filter takes all the guess work out of it! It performs especially well with water photos. You can see from my test photos that this filter makes such a difference (please excuse the poor composition, these were just photos I excitedly snapped while testing the filter out).The filter itself is very thin which is great because it allows for better photo clarity. I had no trouble getting this to attach to my Canon 58mm lens, the fit was perfect and it was so easy to adjust. The glass looks crystal clear and doesn't appear to have any unwanted effects on my photos. It came packaged in a hard plastic case which is perfect for safely storing it. I just slip the whole plastic case in my camera bag and don't have to worry about it getting damaged. If you are looking for a polarizing lens filter, I highly recommend this one! It's a great price for a high quality piece of equipment that will help your photos to look so much more professional.

Must have!
Didn't know how much I needed this untill I finally got it! I photograph mostly outside chasing my kids, and get a lot of ruined pictures from too much light coming it. And a terrible reflection and it dulls it down just enough without making the picture itself dark. I also like to do photography of nature mostly creeks and it helps so much with a glare from the sun. Life saver!! It's has a great little case to keep it from getting damaged when not in use and fit perfectly.

Unusable
Got a couple so I could leave them on multiple lenses. One has threads that were not manufactured correctly, and another has a a flaw in it that almost looks like a scratch, but it seems to be inside the filter. Not sure what it is. Makes it look like there's a hair on the lens.

Not consistent
20% of the filter seems to have some kind of defect, it makes the picture look warped and wavy. Looks like a production defect.
