Love the look, the quality of these boots. Kudos to the designers and craftspeople! I have two other pairs of shoes by L'Artiste, (in size 38 same as these) and they are comfortable and fun (and also wider in the foot ball/toe area). These boots, the toe area seems to come to a point too far back for my medium-to-wide foot, so where my toes meet my foot are cramped in these. I say it that way because I've had comfy cockroach-in-the-corner-killer cowboy boots in the past that had a wider ball-of-the-foot and toe area. If you have a medium-to-narrow foot, these'll fit great. And the heel/ankle area is wide, so there's some slop as in other boots, but the heel is low and wide enough that one would not need to worry about balance on even ground. I'm unsure that the fine hard leather on these would ease enough to make more room in the toe areas, so, alas, I'm returning them. :(

It's not very often that you greatly anticipate getting an online order in the mail and have it meet your expectations. Well, these boots didn't meet mine either; they exceeded them by far! The style, the intricate detail, the artistry and design can't possibly be replicated or captured in a picture. The top quality leather, the security-instilled sole; the construction and comfort combined carry these boots to an entire other level. Last year l fell down a steep hill and dislocated my ankle in addition to breaking some other areas in my foot. The ortho surgeon told me no more heels, much to my dismay. Flats have never been my style, so the height of these boots I'd perfect for me. If you don't believe in love at first sight, when you remove the lid from the box and see these boots, a believer you will definitely be!

Wow! These boots are simply gorgeous! Comfortable too. Spring Step LArtiste always fit me well, but i always get a half size larger to accommodate shoe cushions. These are the most beautiful boots. I'm wearing them every day.

I love these boots! They are comfortable enough to wear all day and are great for dancing. They are gorgeous, with lovely details. And I can't get over the fit. I'm on my feet all day most every day, teaching fitness, running, and am a chef in a restaurant. I have bone spurs on both heels and have had way too much foot pain. I can't believe how great they feel. Beautifully made, too. Would buy again.

I had to order half a size up from my usual 8.5 (US size).The boots are cut a bit narrow, but the leather is really nice so I expect they will loosen a bit with wear.They are absolutely gorgeous!
