Excellent cover that fit perfectly
This is an excellent cover. We purchased it to protect our new outdoor Carrier air conditioner (A/C) during the harsh NY winters. I needed to select which cover we should purchase. I didn't want something cheap that would deteriorate quickly, but I didn't want to spent a fortune either. Researching on Amazon and online, CoverMates appeared to be a good choice.CoverMates offers three tiers of covers. The cheapest model is their Classic series, which is constructed of vinyl. This was out, for us. We've been through many vinyl BBQ covers. The winter snow and temperature variations reduce their life to only a few years. They become brittle and crack easily after only a few years. The next line up is this cover, which they call the Elite series. Constructed of Polyester, it offers a more robust material that should hold up well to the outdoor elements. The top of the line is their Ultima cover. The Ultima is a dyed polyester, which I have to admit, I don't know exactly how the Ultima dyed polyester differs from the Elite polyester. The price was a bit rich for what we budgeted to spend, so we chose the Elite cover over the Ultima. We received the Elite cover quickly. Opening it, the material felt thick and solid enough to withstand the weight of a foot of snow, which will probably pile up on the A/C unit during the heart of winter. After a rain storm, I went outside to look at the cover. Water beads up and rolls off quite nicely.Installation was excellent. My wife and I stretched it out to wrap over the A/C unit and were very pleased to see its height and size were a perfect fit. The bottom of the cover has an elastic-type band within the skirt that causes it to hug under the bottom of the unit, keeping it firmly in place. There's no chance even an excessive wind storm is going to loft this cover up and over the A/C unit. Stepping back and viewing it after it was installed, we were both very impressed and pleased with our purchase. It’s color is also nice—a neutral beige. The Classic cover is green and the Ultima cover is black.I'm very active with Amazon reviews. If I find this product is anything less than five stars or I experience anything that should be added to this review, I'll update it immediately. If you see no update, then the cover is still working great and we still recommend it to others.

its looks almost as good as it did the 1st day it arrived
worth every penny. mine is now 5 years. it takes a beating every winter- wind and snow. its looks almost as good as it did the 1st day it arrived. the fit was perfect - easy to put on and off. and after 5 years the straps are still in excellent condition.

Worth the money
Was a bit skeptical about the cost of this product considering i could just buy a tarp and a bungie cord for much less, but as soon as i pulled it out of the packaging i felt good about the purchase. Very thick material was used and feels like its going to last for years. The fit is great and overall the design seems well thought out.Highly recommended.

Fits Central Air Conditioner Like a Glove!
Having a wide selection of sizes made it easy to match the cover with my a/c unit. I took it out of the box, unfolded it, and placed it over the a/c, pulled it down completely, fitted it around the bottom edges and corners. That was it. Having vents reminds me of a golf umbrella I have that allows the wind to pass through the unit. It's my understanding that older units should not be covered, I checked with the manufacturer and they said it's ok to cover but having the vents most likely ensures if any air is needed it's all good. Nice material, well constructed and appears this will last through the harsh Western Michigan winters.

I selected the one I liked the best
I had an old cover for a different A/C condenser that didn't fit quite right - so I did a lot of searching, and came across several from the cover store. I selected the one I liked the best, and when I received it I was very pleasantly surprised! It fit perfectly, had several bands with clasps around it, bot just the skinny elastic type bands the other's I've tried had. It also has Velcro in several areas so you can leave openings for the piping and power connections, while still covering the rest of the unit. Looks great, feels good and durable, and fits like a glove. Very happy to have it as we head into winter time here in the northeast...

Looks great, but not yet tested against time.
I've got a cube-shaped ACU, so finding the proper fit cover has been very difficult. Most covers come in vague "large square" size, which really means an odd rectangle of arbitrary proportions that require bunching up excess material. This cover fit almost perfectly (I had to go 1 inch larger) and also has elastic in the base to help keep it tight to the unit. The straps have a nice buckle and are attached to the cover, which is a big improvement over some of the cheaper "heavy duty" covers that are never the right length and just kind of wrap around and use S-hooks, so again a big improvement. The vents on the side seem like they should help prevent mold, although I've never had that problem in the past with the cheap covers. The material feels heavy grade, but the color is a big of a "greenish" hue from what I expected for a neutral beige, so if you are very particular about color matching your siding it might not be perfect for that. Although this is more than what I wanted to spend on an ACU cover, I think it is well-built and only time will tell if it will last against the elements. My big concern is the elastic bands might lose elasticity or the buckles might become brittle. I expect to at least get 3 seasons out of this cover.

It fits perfectly
Our outdoor AC condenser unit has a control box mounted on the rear that sticks out from the main frame; the cover is large enough that it completely covers that and still reaches down to the bottom; the integrated straps help to hold it in place (suggest you run the strap under the conduit / freon pipes going to the box so that it will hold the unit in place even in a heavy wind). Have only had this for a couple months so don't know about lifetime but so far so good. Also suggest that you add a label to your AC temperature controller that indicates you should "REMOVE COVER FROM OUTDOOR CONDENSER UNIT BEFORE TURNING ON AC AT BEGINNING OF SUMMER"; otherwise if you forget to remove the cover you risk damaging or destroying your condenser unit.
