Effective, lightweight, easy to clean
Purchased these for backpacking and I have been very satisfied. Material: durable, foldable plastic. Inside is textured, while outside is non-slip. The product clearly tells you which is which. Weight: Very light. Compared to hard plastic cups and plates, this is about half the weight, and it takes up substantially less room in your pack. Easy to slip into the bladder compartment or jam along the side wherever it fits. User experience: Great. I am especially pleased with how the origami cup allows insulation for your fingers against hot liquids inside (the folds separate your hands from the heat). However, I haven't found much use for the bowl. It seems like the plate and the cup provide everything I need, while the bowl is a sort of needless third wheel. I usually leave it at home. As I said, cleaning is simple and easy. Storage: Per the recommendation of another comment, I have been storing these folded up in a plastic bag. It has worked for me so far.

Just what I expected
This is the smartest thing out there for backpackers. This set is also ideal for travelers, car campers, picnics or eco-conscious lunches at work. It's hard to believe the simple shapes create such useful containers. I love the bowl size, great for a hearty pasta dish and doesn't get too hot to hold even when loaded with a hot pasta dish. They can be slid down any thin crack in your backpack compartment since they transport completely flat and are practically weightless. Many of my friends have purchased this set also after having seen mine in use. I leave them assembled when not in use as advised by other reviewers. Good advice as it helps to prolong the life of the snaps by creating less stress over time. Great product, great price, great results.

Ultralight and very useful!
I've used these about a dozen times at home, and also on one camping trip. They're great! Other reviews have mentioned that the snaps might be a little fragile, so I've made a point of being careful with them, and had no problems so far. The plate is a little small, but you can actually leave it unsnapped, which makes it quite a bit larger, and the sides will still slope up a little. Just be careful if you lift it up when it's full of food, because it's not very rigid when unsnapped. The bowl and cup have measuring marks in ounces and ml, a nice touch. Last week I made some pan bread, using the cup to measure the ingredients, and the bowl to mix them. Once the dough got sticky, I unsnapped the bowl, flattened it out, and used it as a "countertop" for kneading the dough. The thin plastic means they can get hot when you put hot food or drinks in them; but the sides have raised tabs so you can hold them without burning your fingers. They're tough enough to use as cutting boards; a steak knife doesn't hurt them, but I'd be careful if I used a razor-sharp camp knife. The set of three only weighs about 4 oz, and they fold flat to take up almost no space in your pack. These are great for anyone who wants to travel light, but still do some creative cooking, and not have to eat supper out of a pouch.

Excellent for travel
I used this set when traveling to Brazil, Ecuador, Ukraine, and India. Very compact and fit nicely into carry-on. Light weight. Clean easily. The spoon snap is not as reliable as I would like and sometimes would pop open. Also the spoon is awkward for use with soup. But for solid foods it is very good. I even used it to spoon the center out of a passion fruit. I don't carry the full set with me. The plate and bowl are so similar that I only carry the plate. That saves a tiny bit of space and weight. This set makes a very nice gift for my traveling friends.

What magic are these made with???
Oh, you should have HEARD them all. "Those are so going to fall apart." "That's not gonna last." "That looks like a TERRIBLE idea." "That's going to leak all over your lap and you're going to freeze." By the end of our cold weather camping trip though, orders were being placed on Amazon by everyone else in attendance. Size- these are SO lightweight and thin. They just slide in your pack and you don't even know they are there. Functionality- they LOOK like they'll just leak everywhere... it was a legit concern from my fellow campers. But they snapped right together easily and never lost a drop. Unsnap, wipe out, slide back in bag. Crazy! Temp- so I figured our food and drinks would just get super cold right away and I was ready to deal with that. I mean, thin and light weight are the perks here, not insulation. It got down in the 20s when we were camping, so my son and I were just fully prepared for icy coffee and this is where the magic comes in. My coffee, in this thin, weird little blue cup thing, was still warm when I finished it. And the bowls held in enough heat to reconstitute our dehydrated meals. HOW is this possible? It doesn't matter. We love them.

Durable and easy to use
I took these to grand Tetons and I absolutely loved them. They were the perfect size for one serving of oatmeal and 2 cups of soup. They don’t leak which was my concern due to the folds. The more I used them the easier it got to fold them. Extremely light weight and durable, plus the fish design was perfect for my trail name “fishy”. To my surprise I was not the only one using them, my friend has the green set but but I like the blue color better. He claims that he had his set for two years, hopefully mine last that long. I would definitely recommend them for light weight backpacking but not for regular camping, not sure they can hold much weight but then again I haven’t test that theory. Will definitely recommend and purchase again.

I backpack somewhat regularly and camp even more regularly and this set is amazing. I'll probably be buying 1-2 more in the coming months because I love it so much. They weigh practically nothing and fit in my pack with ease. Durable and easy to clean. I use the cup and bowl more than the dish. They work well for reheating leftovers at work too.
