No chassis connection for a ground wire or shielded cable connection when mounting onto a plastic enclosure

With help I installs this connector in my star link cable. How water proof it is time will tell. Got tired of fishing the cable thru the slide seal and coiling up that 75 ft cable in the box it appears to made well but there were no instructions for installation and no provision for the shield wire

Needed a watertight RJ45 for a datalogger. This looked like it would fit the need and had good reviews. Build quality seemed good, and it is more compact than others I've used. Well, after exactly 7 uses, the locking mechanism broke. Of course, this happens shortly after the return period. No rough handling, just plug it in and unplug it when downloaded. Frustrating!!

Came as advertised. Works great! I mounted the plate side to a custom plate I made in my truck bed and sealed off the back side and now I have a water proof connection from my truck to my camper for my backup camera.

These are good connectors but you need a steady hand a fine soldering iron and patience to make them work. I used 2 to connect my Starlink antenna to the router through the wall of our RV.

Provides a solid connection. I like that its all metal. Seems pretty strong. I'm using it on my truck to connect the trailer cameras. Unfortunately there's the issue of the back side of the connector being just open to the elements. the front is waterproof but unless I install it into a weatherproof box i'm going to have to use silicone or something to seal up the backside. Otherwise its a great item.
