Required if you take your top off regularly.
These were very easy to install. I'm sure drilling into your hardtop will turn some people away, but the provided templates made things very easy. I would highly recommend these to anyone that takes their top off regularly. It really does make it so much easier. I suppose you could get one of those fancy top lifts, but these stay on your car and go with you everywhere. It does still require a second person though.
