KEENWomen's Circadia Mid Height Comfortable Waterproof Hiking Boot

Comfortable
I got my first two pairs of keen hikingboots from a great friend about 8-10 years ago and loved them. We did landscaping (planting, mulching trimming) cleaning up peoples yards and gardens. We were hard on our boots (she also had keen boots) and they lasted a long time. I recently had to throw out one pair so I bought a new pair. I have always been able to just wear them and not have to go through a breaking in time. They are definitely durable and comfortable. I buy a wide and have room for socks and my feet. I love my boots and go to keen hiking boots whenever they wear out. I use to think they were pricey but now it's the only ones I am happy with considering I can put them on for the first time and just go no sore feet no blisters my feet stay dry and the boots last so long. Thank you keen for making my garden days so enjoyable. I definitely recommend keen hiking boots for play or work. I have also done plenty of hiking in my boots. ❤️

Design flaw
From having read numerous reviews of different styles of Keen hiking boots, it is apparent that quality control has gone downhill.I have had a pair of Keen hiking boots for 8 years, and they have been all over the world with me. I still wear them, as they are comfortable, in great shape, and still waterproof beyond any Goretex shoe I have ever purchased. At that time they were made in the US, but not anymore. So I was hoping to find a new pair, for when my old pair finally die.I am still in the process of of trying different Keen styles, having now tried 5 different ones. The sizing, fit, and comfort vary significantly, even 2 pairs that were identical in style and size. Poor consistency. The Circadia boot is comfortable, although it could have a cushier footbed, with more arch support, and it is attractive. If it wasn't for the negative reviews, I would say they look well made, similar to my old pair, but I am very concerned about so many soles peeling off Keen's boots, and that many boots were not waterproof. But since I have only tried them on briefly, and indoors, I cannot comment on that yet. What is a concern, and really my only one so far, is that the tongue is not wide enough to tuck snuggly under the sides of the boot, and I have fairly skinny ankles. Maybe this will not be an issue, but unlike all the other syles, where the tongues were wide enough, it is what is preventing me from making the final decision to keep or return these boots. One more consideration: according to some of the reviews, apparently Keen stands behind their products and will issue a refund for defective items. That knowledge is helpful, as it may take a year for the boot to fall apart, hopefully it won't, and then returns to Amazon are no longer possible, so Keen's policy might be the saving grace in taking a chance in buying their comfy boots.

Keen Hiking Boots
I have been purchasing Keen Hiking boots for several years. This is the first time the boots have come in a plastic bag, they normally come in a box. The paper stuff inside the boots was extremely hard to remove. I have been walking around with them on inside the house, not sure if I am keeping them cause they feel a little tight. I normally wear a 7 but went up to a 7 1/2 cause of the information listed on the shoe.

They felt so good but only lasted 2 months.
UPDATE ON REVIEW. When I went to tie my boots today, the top fabric loop broke, making that boot useless. I have a rather large bunion and have trouble finding hiking boots that don't irritate it. With the option of a wide toe box, I have no problem. I also ordered a size larger than I take, but that was to accommodate my heated socks. Even with the larger size, they lace up tightly enough that there is no slippage when not wearing the heated socks, yet have ample room when I will need to wear them.

don't recommend it
The boots are oversized and overly heavy. Despite this, they lack adequate cushioning, and the soles are quite hard, making them uncomfortable to walk in. I also developed a callus on my right ankle almost immediately due to discomfort. The heel slips out because the padding at the top is insufficiently supportive. Additionally, the filling inside the boots is uneven and clumpy. The right boot feels unstable on the ground, although the left boot does not have this issue.I am overall very disappointed with these boots. On a positive note, the laces are of excellent quality and the top loops effectively secure them. The nubuck material is decent.

Solid boot
As is typical of Keen, the toe box is nice and wide. I struggled a bit to get my left foot into the boot as the tongue doesn’t lift all the way up. I’m guessing this is to keep the boot waterproof. My left foot has been through some trauma and surgeries, so it was a struggle to bend my foot enough to slide it in. But with some wiggling, I was able to get it in. The top of the boot is a bit tight over the mid top of my left foot. But again, my foot has had some struggles. It isn’t painful, so I’m going to wear them around the house for a few days to see if it loosens up as I break them in. My right foot felt great! I swapped the insoles out for my custom orthotics, and while the left is still a tad tight, things feel better. Nice ankle support (I had hardware in my ankle and have a history of fractures so I’m prone to rolling my ankle- ankle support is a must for me). My old hiking boots were Ahnu’s and I was struggling over whether to buy these Keens or not as historically, I’ve felt Keens were heavy and clunky. They do feel a bit clunkier than am used to, but for the sale price, it’s not a full stop for me. I wish I could have got a half size bigger as I don’t think I will be able to wear super thick socks, but I tried them on with medium weight smart wool socks and my big toes were not touching the end. The real test will be going downhill, so we’ll see how they do next weekend. Overall, I think I will be happy with them once they wear in.
