J&D's Bacon Salt, Peppered, 2 Ounce

Bought because it's bacon flavored and low sodium. It kind of smells like bacon and gives a hint of bacon like flavor, but I'm not sure I would have pegged it as a bacon flavor if I was tasting it in a blind taste test. Even without an overpowering bacon flavor, it's fine as a seasoning on meat, potatoes and well, as others sugested on Mac N Cheese, but it's ten times better if you also add salt to whatever you use it on, thus defeated the "low sodium" feature.

I love the Smokey flavor it gives eveything. I put on everything.

I found this product when trying to prepare foods for a grandson who had just "gone vegan." It has many uses, but the one I use it for most iswhen I sauté greens--spinach, kale, chard--in olive oil with garlic and a lot of bacon salt!

I’ve had the original Bacon Salt before and love it in my Virgin Mary drink (Bloody Mary without alcohol). I love black pepper. I love bacon. This Peppered Bacon Salt is a real winner. Great flavor!

It smells great off out of the bottle, and sampled a bit to get a feel for how strong it would be(pretty good!), but after cooking with it, it was disappointing. I used this on a recipe that bakes for 60mins at 250 degrees and there was ZERO bacon flavor or smell at the end...maybe best left as a condiment and not a cooking ingredient.

Love these bacon salts, have tried all flavors. Was looking for the large size to replace my last purchase, but this smaller size was all that was available. Family loves it.

Make anything taste (almost) like bacon.Especially good on homemade crisps.Or anything else that you can eat.Who doesn't like the taste of bacon.Best of all, no pigs were killed to make this!
