If you use acrylic paint, this is a great extender without ‘watering down’ the pigment. It slows drying time for better workability and blend ability too.

The bottle says not to mix this alongside other additives, so most of the time I only add this to my paints for use with an airbrush and it can both thin the mediums while preventing them from drying as fast. In particular, it helps me prevent dry tip buildup while using primer. I’ve used this with dollar craft paint, dedicated airbrush paint, acrylic ink, and water based primers.

Bought this because my paint by number paints were drying too quickly. (Acrylics ) A few drops in each little container helped tremendously in keeping the paint both thinner and not drying as quickly. Easy to use, no detectable odor. I haven’t blended any colors just did a paint by number so far. It thins without changing the color as water would. I am REALLY disappointed in the fact the bottle leaks so badly! It’s coming out of the screw on lid as well as the hole in the lid it’s supposed to come out of. I didn’t realize it was leaking so badly till it tipped over and I lost a lot before noticing. My level now is right abt the top of the label. The paint by number has only 16 colors and two-three drops each shouldn’t have me this low already! It’s not cheap fluid and to have it leaking out of the lid is unacceptable. Sent a message to the seller and still awaiting a reply. Had there been no leak loss, I would rate this 5 stars. If you use acrylic paint, you may want to give this a try.

Liquids is the best

As an acrylic painter, I was sick of my paints drying too quickly to blend well this does the trick to keep paints wet for blending! Will definitely purchase again when this bottle is empty.

I was doing color mixing with acrylic paint and was frustrated with how fast it dried up, like less than 15 minutes. This item is a life saver, I put just a couple of drops and the drying time was extended to a hour and a half.

Ich fand das Malen mit Acrylfarben bisher hinsichtlich der Trocknungszeiten nachteilig. Nachdem ich von Liquitex Trocknungsverzögerer für Acrylfarben gehört habe, war ich zunächst etwas skeptisch - habe mir das Gel aber trotzdem bestellt, weil ich es unbedingt ausprobieren wollte. --> und war sehr positiv überrascht!!! Ich habe mehrere Farben auf die Palette geholt und überall ein paar Tropfen vom Gel untergemischt. Zur Eigenschaft Transparenz konnte ich keine Änderung bei der Acrylfarbe feststellen. Ich habe ca. 2 Stunden gezeichnet und dann eine Pause von ca. 2 Stunden eingelegt. Ich war überrascht, dass ich anschließend noch mit der Farbe weiterzeichnen konnte. Von mir daher eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Ich würde das Gel immer wieder bestellen :-)
