Digital Processing of Synthetic Aperture Radar Data: Algorithms and Implementation (Artech House Remote Sensing Library)

Exceptional book on SAR processing
For me, this was the best SAR processing book that I have read for strip map processing. I learned how to implement working ScanSAR, RDA, CSA, and f-k migration algorithms using this textbook. There is enough detail to follow the analytical derivations for each algorithm. I feel like the book gives good insight into the algorithms as well.

No images in the Ebook!!!!
The product was fine except for that all the diagrams (absolutely essential to understanding the text) were missing! I ordered a hard cover copy and intend to return this one at the end of the return window (hopefully the hard cover will arrive by then) and do the best I can for now but definitely be warned!

NO CDROM
The book is great, but it didn't come with the CDROM it was supposed to come with.

This book has everything you would need to learn SAR from scratch
This book is awesome. If you are new to SAR and want to learn it from scratch this is the best book on the market. I was able to start learning SAR theory using this book as a resource. The Artech website even provides sample SAR data files for you to download and use once you get to the point where you feel you are ready to start processing the data. I love this book.

Not that useful, mostly equations
This book is not that helpful if you are trying to learn how to process SAR data. It does include a data file on the CD of raw SAR data, however, no reconstruction program is provided. It would be a lot more helpful if this book did a walk through with an example program so that someone who has no experience with radar would be able to begin reconstructing SAR images.

Everything you'll ever need to know about SAR processing.
This book is for professional engineers and/or graduate students in Electrical Engineering who need to know the math behind SAR processing. There are no code listings that you can mindlessly copy, however the math and signal processing is explained very thoroughly and in great detail. It covers most of the useful modern algorithms (RDA, CSA, omega-k, SPECAN) and gives the reader the foundations necessary to explore other methods (wavelet-based, time-domain, etc.) If you need to know how to process SAR data, this is the book you want to buy.

Excellent
Really excellent book. I suggest it to all people entering in the world of SAR image signal processing.
