Osprey Metron 24L Commuter Laptop Backpack, Black

Fantastic pack! I’m admittedly an Osprey fan but this pack has served me very well and replaced my Escapist 25 for cycling commutes. It is well thought out - from the laptop sleeve to the shoe compartment to how the main compartment fully unzips and unfolds so I can easily stack my clothing and personal items. I wasn’t sure whether the slimmer (vs the Escapist) waist belt would support the weight of the bag on my hips - critical for how much I tend to carry - but it does! Whew!

This is easily the best commuter bag I have owned. It expands to fit a surprising amount, but doesn't say and look empty without a lot of stuff because of the design. The rain fly is perfect, and has come in handy multiple times. I like it so much I bought one as a gift for my father.

The new bike helmet attachment is a bit confusing. It's a mesh instead of the toggle that it used to be. It works, but I feel the original toggle was a bit simpler. The internal storage is well thought though and easily holds a lot.

yes this bag stands up and has lots of space for traveling with laptops and ipad and much more. good quality and lots of compartments

A Christmas gift for my son who told me it was even better than he expected.

I bought this bag for bicycle commuting and it has turned out to be a great bag. It stores exactly what you need for daily trips and it is able to hold much more than you would think from just looking at it. The compression straps work great and the bag is very comfortable to wear, even with a full bag. I really like the shoe compartment because it's separate from the main bag and keep shoes firmly in place. Durability is excellent. I purchased this bag in 2021 and have used it almost daily for school, commuting, and work and everything is still in great shape. Great job Osprey, keep doing it like this.

I’ve been driving people crazy at every store I can think of trying to find the right pack. That sweet spot between big enough for more than a few things and small enough to tote just a laptop and a few things. For 13” laptops, tons of options. For 16”, not so many. Then there are features like exterior water bottle holder and having a balance between enough open space for clothes or shoes and enough organization to keep things from getting lost. I’ve tried and returned 4 packs from other companies including one from Osprey before I found this bag. It’s perfect for me. I really like the zip top instead of the roll top closure. My preference. Hope this helps someone struggling with finding that perfect bag for them.
