Extended release actually KEEPS you asleep.
I believe that melatonin is incredibly over dosed. Plus even if it knocks you out, you'll have exhausting dreams with anything more than 1-2mg.Not so with timed release melatonin. And you'll be amazed how such a small amount KEEPS you asleep. It's glorious. I cycle between 300 and 750mg.Plus melatonin is a very powerful antioxidant so you can use the smallest dose as an antioxidant that actually crosses the blood-brain barrier. 👌

Works well to help in getting to sleep
The only time-released Melatonin I know of and the only one with a biologically equivalent dose to what our bodies produce, so it's not going to be as likely to make your body stop producing it's own Melatonin. I have a severe sleep disorder and it really helps me get to sleep and to go back to sleep after I wake up several times per night.

Helps Me Get to Sleep Graceully
It's a great product. It helps me get to sleep peacefully and stay asleep for a little more than 6 hours. There are no aftereffects when you wake up in the morning.

300 mcg of time released Plus I take regular 300 mcg combined
This 300 mcg is fine, but I take them with either 300 mcg regular melatonin or half of a 1 mg tablet, and combined they work for me. This way I can get some time-released melatonin in my system for the entire night and some of the regular to get to sleep sooner. This by itself doesn't work for me, it's too little, that's why I need to add the others. I have tried this brand's 750 mcg of time-released and it works much better than 300 mcg. But with melatonin less is more, otherwise, it can have an opposite effect and keep me up instead of putting me asleep. 1 mg is plenty for anyone, anything more can have side effects and cause sleep problems

Best I’ve found
Works so much better with time release. What so many people and DRs don’t know is that when you take too much melatonin it has the opposite effect. I went from 7 mg to this (about a 1/2 of a mg) and it works so much better.

Very Small Dose
I thought I was buying 3 mg capsules. Only after I opened the bottle did I notice that I had ordered 300mcg which equals 0.3 mg. I knew I wanted extended release, but I didn't know a dose as small as 3 mcg was available. I should have read the dose more closely, but it would have been helpful to me to have the dose displayed in both micrograms and miligrams in the description or on the label.

good time release
Like the time release and the low dosage.

Works better than other products I have tried.
I have had sleep issues for many years. I actually would prefer topical melatonin, but after reading a review on timed-release, I gave it a shot and I am glad. This does not help me get to sleep much earlier than other products, but the sleep is more sustained and restful. Worth the price. I'd recommend in a heartbeat.
