Amazing!! Love it!!
Bought for my boyfriend this Christmas (2025) and he absolutely loves it! He was talking about needing a new one and how this one is way better! He loves that it comes with a charging stand that you can set it on. It’s also very adjustable so that’s nice as well. The sound is so clear! 10/10 would recommend!

Just do it.
TLDR: If you're reading this, just pull the trigger. You're reading this because you're wondering if any of these reviews are real. I did the same thing. I'd never heard of RIG before my wife bought me a wired set for my birthday. They were fantastic. The way these are designed, they keep the weight of the headset off of your head.. The only reason you know these are on is because of your ears. Sound quality, the environmental quality (eg. hear it left, you see it left when you turn left - Positioning, maybe? I dunno.. these are great for "positional hearing") I put the set my wife bought me on my seat and went to the bathroom.. came back, and sat on em and broke them.. I may have had a few beers.. So, I enjoyed the headset so I looked at current RIG offerings, and came across this wireless set. Now, I've been thru the expensive ones, the "popular brand" ones.. and they were all crap. Batteries failed, didn't last., no distance... whatever. So, I wrote off "wireless" headsets. BUT, with RIG, I was so impressed with the wired headset I sat on and broke, I saw this wireless set and decided to give it a go. I've been a gamer since, literally, Pong. I have been in IT for over three decades. I'm impressed.. from the quality of the sound, the quality of the Mic, the battery life... EVERYTHING. Still the same lightweight "band" that keeps the headset weight off your head.. You won't be disappointed unless you get a unit that isn't 100% functional from the factory like mine is... and lets face reality.. nothing is 100% in manufacturing. I've not had to deal with returns, refunds, or replacement... just a happy old guy who was impressed with the quality for the price. If you're in the market and doing the due dilligence research... Like Nike Said... Just Do it. You won't be disappointed.

RIG IS WELL MADE & SOUNDS GREAT
I can't tell you how many times I fell asleep wearing these headphones, while watching a late-night movie. Rig quality is way up there... they DON'T skimp on quality components, unlike other headphones that start hurting my ears after an hour. You can buy replacement covers online... I always keep a new pair around. The covers will stretch out over time & they will come off easily. The sound quality is EXCELLENT- for games that have sounds coming from different directions, you need to get this brand! In one game, I was hunting an apex predator. Because I chose these headphones, I was able to locate & kill the animal, instead of my character being hunted. The Dolby Atmos is the BEST as far as I'm concerned! Music sounds great, and video games sound incredible. Get the best, and forget the rest... you are getting WAY MORE than your money's worth! Music is rich sounding, and you can adjust the voice chat, so you can still hear music AND whoever you are talking with. I can go into the kitchen (slightly more than 30 ft from where the console is), and still be able to talk to friends. The battery lasts a LONG TIME... I noticed the Rig battery time has increased in the past 7 years, and I love the fact that I can use it while it is charging. I will be a Rig customer for life.

Best headset I used so far
Excellent headphones. Can be heard clear and I like the mute to flip option. Comfy and has the adjustment for different head sizes only headset with a charging stand at this price point well made. I came from a steel series after two from that brand gave mic problems after a year of use.

Steps to troubleshoot await
So, I was going to return it, but after troubleshooting and watching many videos on various other headsets, I got it to stop randomly disconnecting every few minutes. The troubleshooting was as follows: 1. Turned off my 2.4 g wifi signal 2. Deleted Dolby app 3. Moved connection from front to back 4 drug wire across room and set next to me After which, it started to work and did not disconnect. I then went and began reversing the process and turned the Wi-Fi on, reinstalled the app, moved back across the room, and with all of that, it still worked fine. Finally, I moved the connection to the back, and within five minutes, it started to randomly disconnect. I now have a charging station behind the TV and a transmitter in the front of the Xbox, and it works fine, so there is something interfering in the back. Overall, the sound is great. The Atmos is awesome as far as hearing where something is and sounds good with music from games as well. The mic can be a bit weird at times. Sometimes I am too loud for people, and sometimes I am not. I am not sure if that is me or the mic. It does get pretty loud on the volume. Overall, I like the build of it. It could use more breathable ear cups, but that is nitpicking. I charged it up after figuring out the problem and played for six hours, and it says it is still on high battery, so it is still full of charge. I will have to see how long it lasts. I like the charge base with the USB in it if you can use it that way. I can't, as stated, but it is a cool design. UPDATE: After three weeks of six hours of daily use, I charged it twice. The first time, it reached medium charge after a week. I then stretched the next use to two weeks; it was still on medium when I charged it again. Didn't take but a few hours to charge back up.

The mic is awful; have to yell to be heard.
Don't buy if you want to be heard when using the mic. The mic barely works, you have to basically yell for anyone to hear you. I've adjusted all settings possible and it still has abysmal mic monitoring. I used to have a Rig 600 headset a few years ago and it was my favorite headset of all time. I thought I'd upgrade to this headset which is an "upgraded", "better" model. I didn't know that the former owners of Rig (Plantronics) had sold the company and it was now owned by a company called Nacon. Apparently the new owners don't care about quality which is super disappointing. I guess I'm done with the Rig brand.

Unmatched Sound & Comfort
The RIG 800 PRO HX Wireless Gaming Headset is an outstanding addition to my gaming setup! Officially licensed for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, this headset delivers amazing Dolby Atmos 3D audio that truly enhances the gaming experience. The sound quality is crystal clear, allowing me to pick up even the subtlest in-game sounds, which is a game changer during intense sessions. Comfort is a major highlight—I've worn this headset for hours without any discomfort, thanks to the lightweight design and plush ear cups. The multi-function base station is sleek and functional, making it easy to charge and switch between devices. The impressive battery life of up to 60 hours means I don’t have to worry about recharging mid-game. Overall, the RIG 800 PRO HX exceeds expectations in both performance and comfort. I highly recommend this headset to any serious gamer looking for quality audio and durability!

Xbox Series X
So far, no complaints. I bought it for my friend for Christmas, we'll see how it holds up. Sound is great!
