I attached a cheap cyclone to the top and the result works perfectly. I am using an old wet and dry VAX that has a speed control. On maximum it collapsed the drum by about 30%, turninig it down by 25% solved the problen without detracting too much from the effectiveness. The ring clamp is a bit on the poor quality side but too be fair it is good enough for what it is designed for (probably only single use) I will cobble up something a little more user friendly in time. It is expensive for what it is but not a lot of choice out there at short notice. A cheap/free steel oil container would be a better option if you have the time to find one (try a chip shop).

Its a blue sealable drum when closed and secured in place it is air tight and water tight. Perfect to keep things dry.
