This pyramid is okay, but it's not quite the quality I'd expect for gift giving. It is pretty, but IN COMPARISON, it really does lack the quality & workmanship found in other manufacturers'/sellers' pyramids.PACKAGING:• Double boxed. However, the gray gift box was just sitting on top of four layers of bubble wrap (not wrapped around the item).• The cloth bag had a hole in it from the pyramid point.THE PYRAMID:• The base is unusually wavey, but smooth. Thankfully, the pyramid does sit well.• There is a large, unattractive & UNEVEN (3/8"-1/2"), void between the base and stones. So, the first 1/2" or so is JUST CLEAR RESIN!• There are distinct lines, dents and dips throughout the stone & foliage layers, which can be SEEN AND FELT on the outside of the pyramid.• There's FAR LESS gold than pictured.• The tree is NOT centered and the wire "roots" just lay on top of the rocks (not rooted into the stones, as pictured). Also, the trunk is straight up and down, unlike the picture, which shows the tree with more natural curves.• The little black balls in the tree leaves are there, but barely visible.THE POSITIVES:• There are no sharp edges. Although, I would still be cautious of the pointed areas, if young children are handling it.• Color is good in bright light.• Nice design• There was no shipping damage to the pyramid.• Size is accurateOVERALL: It's good...just don't look too closely.

So much detail in a small pyramid. I have already ordered two more for gifts.

It's a beautiful piece but definitely doesn't look like the pictures shown on the site. There's more of a clear gap between the stones and the base. It's smaller than expected. All of the stone blends come like this...large clear gap between stones and base plus being small. I bought the ones with Tigers eye, Lapis Lazuli, and Malachite...all the same as the Obsidian. Hopefully my pictures help with someone else's choosing. They are beautiful but just a little disappointed.

Mine did not look like what's pictured. There's a large empty area underneath the malachite, which appears to be a single layer itself. The reflective quality at the bottom does not make up for this, so it just looks empty.The pyramid isn't completely smooth, at the peridot area at the top it is dimpled, and I am okay with that, but the rest of it leaves a lot to be desired.
