Awesome looking fan!
You will not be disappointed with the looks of this fan! We love it. Some helpful hints when buying it. (1) It comes with a 4" downrod. Gimme a break! Any room big enough for this fan is going to need a longer downrod. And the "stainless steel" looking downrods are expensive. $60 for 48". If you are handy, make your own downrod with 3/4" pipe or buy a cheaper one a different color. Use Rustoleum "stainless steel" paint for an almost perfect match. Mine only came with 60" of wire, so that means a maximum downrod of 4-1/2 feet. (2) Read the instructions. Although assembly is intuitive for those of use who have installed a bunch of big box store ceiling fans, there are a couple of little helpful hints in the instructions. (3) The fan moves a lot of air. Ours is 10' off the floor in a 20x20 room. The very lowest speed of 5 speeds, is normally fast enough. I can't even imagine the highest speed, but if it were really hot or humid, I can see using higher speeds. (4) The fan is silent. Sort of. On the lowest speed, it makes absolutely no sound that I can hear. Speeds 2-5, it makes a clicking sound as it turns (and as other reviewers have commented). It appears to "click" once with each revolution suggesting the sounds is an internal brush or contact on the motor. The faster is goes, the more clicks you hear. The sound is more an annoyance than anything, because most fans I am familiar with, you can hear the contacts/brushes with each revolution. If you are sensitive to the slightest sounds, maybe check into MinkaAire fans instead. (5) Unlike most of the big box store fans with remote controls, this one has the remote control built into the unit, so you don't have to struggle to try to stuff the remote sensor into the fan housing! A big plus. Only three wires need to be connected in the fan housing, so there is plenty of room.

Just works
Love it, nice air flow, sturdy. I don't think making a ceiling fan is rocket science. Kudos to westinghouse for the simplicity and good looking ceiling fan.

Instructions are not helpful, but the fan airflow is awesome!
We love the look of this fan. You can put it together by yourself, but two people is helpful. The instructions are backwards and not very helpful, but they are an ok guide. This fan's airflow is perfect for our large master bedroom with vaulted ceilings. We highly recommend you get a longer down rod for vaulted ceilings although we didn't buy one for the one in our master, just for the one in our living room. As far as noise goes, it is very low, but it almost sounds like a helicopter. If you have another fan, white noise maker, or sound machine, this shouldn't bother you.

Quiet and moves allot of air
Super quite, very nice look to it. Surprised how light it was compared to traditional ceiling fan. Moves allot of air, 6 speeds to choose from is great.

NOT Blown Away!
This fan looks beautiful (got platinum version)! After reading the many reviews stating that it “moves a lot of air, even on low settings”, I had high expectations. I have a large open room, but no cathedral ceilings, so I expected it to move a lot of air-sitting on my sofa (less than 3’ away from outside radius of blades), I can barely feel cool air moving! Additionally, I had read one review where a woman said that it made a constant “ticking” sound like “shuffling cards”; I remember commenting to the Amazon installer (who was great), that people had to expect some sound (it’s a fan with moving parts, right)? Now that I have had this fan for a week, I agree with the woman complaining about the noise: an intermittent TICKING sound is driving me crazy! By “intermittent”, I don’t mean “occasionally”: it goes from 5 seconds of silence to 5 seconds of low ticking, then 5 seconds of high ticking....on and on and on! I was thinking of getting a second one of these fans for the bedroom but would not even consider it now! Luckily, I got it discounted (Amazon had a Memorial Day sale, saving $100)! I bought this fan because Westinghouse offered a lifetime warranty on the motor. I trust Westinghouse. OBTY: This review is on the SECOND fan I received; the first one was installed and the remote didn’t work. I called Westinghouse while the Amazon installer was here; after trying to troubleshoot over the phone, Westinghouse Fed-Ex’d a brand new fan that arrived 3 days later. They told me I could keep the old fan for extra parts free of charge! When the Amazon installer came back out to install the 2nd fan, he was thinking that the 1st fan just had a bad receiver. So, I’m contemplating ordering a new receiver for the one that didn’t work. I live in Las Vegas, so I have ceiling fans EVERYWHERE in this 2800 sq ft home! Unfortunately, the only other room where I really want a NEW fan, is my 22’ long master bedroom! Unfortunately, this ticking sound would drive me crazy (trying to sleep); so, it must be pretty bad if I’m declining to install the first fan (after I get a new receiver), virtually for FREE! I’m considering it as an option in the large open loft (since I just pass through that room, I’m sure the ticking won’t bother me)! Luckily, with a TV on in the family room, the ticking is not noticeable...unfortunately, I don’t do TV 24/7 and loved napping in the family room! Ironically, that’s what prompted this review today: I turned off the TV and decided to take a nap, but COULDN'T fall asleep because of the ticking! I guess I will learn to nap with music in the background! VERY disappointing! It’s not elegant, but I have my Rowenta floor fan 12’ away from me that’s BLASTING me with cool air! UPDATE: 6/23/19: there is ZERO noise on settings 1-4...level 5 gives slight ticking sound (as the other reviewer stated), like intermittent card shuffling; on level 6, it’s not just low card shuffling noise-it’s a LOUD clicking noise that is still distracting, even heard over the TV sound bar or music at a moderate level! I won’t remove it because I think it’s beautiful, but it serves little more practical purpose than the floor vase in the corner of the room (it’s a decoration for my ceiling)! I still love Westinghouse and believe in their products (as I stated in original review), upon hearing that the originally delivered fan wouldn’t turn on, the Westinghouse rep just asked me to email her a copy of my Amazon invoice; she confirmed receiving it and said that they would ship another fan out to me! Less than 2 HOURS later, I got an email from Westinghouse showing a FedEx tracking number, and I received the new fan 3 days later....that’s SPECTACULAR service, so I’m changing my review from 1 star to 3 stars! If they could fix the clicking on the highest setting, I would have purchased at least one more! Perhaps if they changed the pitch of the blades, perhaps they could create more air volume!

Great quality fan..worth every penny !
The media could not be loaded. Nice big bold ceiling fan 72 inches really good quality LED lights. I purchased an additional downrod for under $10 so the ceiling could sit lower in the room but the quality is really good. Nice easy install.

Excellent 72 inch fan for the price
I needed a large fan for my living room. I went with this Westinghouse model as it was reasonably priced for a 72 inch fan and was consistent with the style of my apartment. One good thing about Westinghouse ceiling fans is that Westinghouse lists all of the specifics about each fan model on their website, so one can select a fan with higher CFM-very detailed specifics. Also, I felt more confident about being able to obtain missing parts with Westinghouse rather than the no-name brands. It is easy to install, but I would recommend two people due to the size.
