WGGE WG-013 Wire Stripper and Cutter 7'',Cuts, strips wire and loops 10-20 AWG Solid and (0.8-2.6mm) Stranded

This is not the first time I've ordered these. As a professional electrician I wear out a pair about every year to 2 years. They're a great product at a good price they last as long or longer than any other brand I've tried.

Used it to strip the jacket of 16 awg stranded lamp cord. Does a much better job than winging it with sharp scissors. But don’t expect the jacket cuts to be perfect, as they aren’t squared at the ‘shoulder’. The wire cutter blades work well (at least for stranded wire). Will have to test these with solid copper wires later. Handles are very comfortable, and should allow you to power thru a lot of wire stripping without getting tired. The lock is pretty solid, and riveted in place. The item is finished in black (including the spring) while the cutting surfaces are bare steel. May need occassional lubricating to keep them nice and rust free. I noted some tooling marks on the finish which initially made me think i received a used item. But considering what I paid for it and intended weekend use, I’ll let that pass. Conclusion? It’s not as elegant as a Klein, but it gets the job done

Since it does not trim screws, I returned it. It is well made and easy to use.

Been using this for over a year now and it has worked perfectly each time. My only complaint is that sometimes the locking switch will accidentally unlatch, but that’s a minor issue.
