Pretty cool little contraption. Easy to set up. Easy to use. Honestly can't say if it works because no one has tried to break down my door but I do feel more secure.

I wish I would have had this when I lived alone (as a woman) in college, it would’ve given me such great peace of mind. Even if you aren’t worried about home security, this is a must-have for traveling or staying in unfamiliar places. My partner and I moved recently, and it’s not exactly the safest city in the state. We have an electronic door lock that we can pretty much only access by an app on our phone. I bought this minutes after I listened to a true crime story about a woman who had an electronic door lock on her apartment door, and a security officer for her building simply googled how to bypass the lock one night, entered her apartment, and raped and killed her. It’s a fantastic security tool for the price, I recommend everyone have at least one of these, especially if you’re a woman. As I showed in the video, the door doesn’t budge, even if I pull on it hard, and I have the bottom secured to a (admittedly long) rug too. Now if I’m alone in the apartment for a few days, I feel totally safe because of this. In fact, my boyfriend liked it so much he has started putting it on the door before bed each night. It’s really easy to set up and really easy to take down. I love that it folds up, too. Wish I could have gotten it in another color than white, but that’s just my personal aesthetic. I don’t know why I waited so long to buy one of these. You will absolutely not regret this purchase, and it could quite possibly save you and your loved one’s lives.

This door stopper requires assembly as several components that are held together by metal pins. Except the metal pins are so loose that it repeatedly fall apart at both ends. If I am to get any use from this door stopper, I must replace those loose pins with machine bolts secured by nuts and washers.

Used to support an apartment door with a wood veneer floor. Its easy to setup, put in place, remove. In place it’s sturdy and better than the usual small lock used on hotel apartment doors. I bought this as a gift for a relative who lives alone. Good value.

My door has a metal frame that prevents me installing an inside security lock. So using this security bar is a quick and simple solution. This product is good, providing me an extra layer of security and peace of mind.

First and foremost this product works as a deterrent. It is sturdy. I forgot I had it installed and couldn't open one of the doors. I didn't try hard forcing but I couldn't open the door with some force and I tried many times. As others mentioned it would be nice if the pins had something to stop them on the other side. If you have a vise you can drill and add some pins to secure. However, the pins are stuck in there when the stopper is installed under the pressure. I am also unsure of how the plastic middle will hold up to hard force and/or age. We shall see. I don't regret buying this but the non-foldable model may "feel" safer and sturdier over time. Also, I tried folding it in half and resting it on the door lock but it is a bit heavy for my door handles and misaligns one of the locks. So... I am not really using the folding functionality. Low tech and gives peace of mind overnight. Light and easy to set up in 5 seconds and take away in the morning. Nothing will stop someone willing to break down the door, but makes it much harder to get in without making lots of noise to warn us to take actions. Folds up so we might use for hotels.
